Getting Around

Bus stops at Carillo St and Miramonte.  Driving or Uber/Lyft are good ways to go.  However parking downtown is. pretty easy, and the city lots offer 75 minutes free. parking.

We loved staying at Anne's home! Her condo is cozy and comfortable and a great place to come back to after a day of exploring Santa Barbara. Her hospitality is unmatched and every detail of your stay is considered. We especially loved her outdoor patio, decorated with lush plants and strung lights. Anne’s home is lovely. Very welcoming, relaxing space, cosy and comfortable. The 2 swimming pools (1 for families, 1 adults only) as well as hot tub and sauna are a bonus in a beautiful part of the world. Anne is a generous and welcoming host! She showed me around and welcomed me into her home on my solo trip. It felt like meeting a friend. 😊

We ended up staying several days longer than we planned to at Anne’s house.. We just loved it there so much! Her home is incredibly clean, well organized, and just a pleasure to spend time in. She is the sweetest little garden area in the back with a fountain and beautiful well love plants. She is a gracious host and an excellent communicator. It was absolutely a joy to stay at ANN‘s beautiful home in Santa Barbara! Thank you so very much and for welcoming us so sweetly.

It was an absolute delight to host Celina and her daughter in my home while they explored the local university and sights. Both guests were so warm and considerate - it was easy to have them stay on for extra nights because they were both so appreciative and respectful of my space and time. I would welcome them back any time!

Anne was such a warm and generous host! Her home in the Santa Barbara Hills is so beautiful…… she has an eye for beauty. I had some of the best sleeps at her home….. she shared her access to the pool and the hot tub in her complex. My daughter and I were so very grateful to have had the time that we did at Anne‘s house. What a special spot and what a lovely human being!

I am a single, semi-retired professional woman in private practice, living in beautiful Santa Barbara, California. I was born and raised here, but left for many years until I returned 15 years ago. There just wasn’t any other place in California that was quite like it. 
 I love to travel, and often I travel alone, or sometimes with a friend or family member.  I'm looking for both distant and not-so-distant exchanges.  I have lived in foreign countries growing up as a child, so world travel is in my blood. And hosting guests from foreign countries or other states and/or exchanging homes has been part of my family’s tradition all my life.  
  I would love to find a home exchange in the LA area close to La Crescenta or Montrose area where I have a grown daughter and her family.  I want to visit them more often, but they don't have guest-rooms and I would love to find home exchanges nearby so I can visit them and be nearby.  It would be nice to have a home exchange with someone who wants to come to Santa Barbara for a visit as well.
I'm also interested in exchanges in other cities and countries, particularly in New York City, Hawaii, Paris, Italy and Spain as those are travel destinations coming up in 2026-27.
