Notes

We purchased the apartment as our “winter holiday escape” from our home in the cool South of New Zealand, however we now find we enjoy going there throughout the year as the climate is very comfortable.Refer photo's for climate data. It is our “holiday” apartment, however it is set up as a quality home away from home. We were “locked out” of NZ during Covid & spent several months there & it has all the extra comforts of home with a well equipped kitchen etc. Unlike most apartment owners in some areas of the Gold Coast (further north in the Surfers Paradise area) we choose not to holiday rent our home, we keep it for family & friends.

There are many cafés & quality restaurants in the neighbourhood. Additionally, there are several Surf Life Saving Clubs (SLSC), that offer affordable and delicious dining overlooking the ocean.These are the quintessential Australia experience & an important aspect of Aussie Surf culture in Queensland All of these are within easy walking or driving distance. The Gold Coast area has many very high quality championship Golf Clubs Adjacent to the apartment is a newly opened high class Gym & Bath House available for short term membership Bottle shop (for wine)& convenience shops are 10mins walk along the beach Nearest large shopping centre is 2km (on bus route), more extensive shopping options 3 km away. There are excellent coastal trails for walking or cycling. (Electric or manual bicycles can be hired in the area). L O N G beach walks start just across the road and for the more adventurous there are hikes in the Hinterland rain forests nearby. Local farmers & bakery etc market nearby We can give you further details to suit your interests For the adventurous there is a skydive company that lands jumpers in front of the apartment on the beach! Humpback Whales migrate along the coast from June to October and can be seen from the Apartment balcony, or the nearby beaches and headland walking trails. Close to Australia’s best surf breaks (Kirra Point, Coolangatta Beach and Snapper Rocks). There are multiple safe swimming spots (patrolled by Surf Life Savers) along the kilometres of sandy beach in front of apartment. Easy drive via motorway from Brisbane & Sunshine Coast etc in the North or Sydney in the South Shuttle service operates from Brisbane airport Gold Coast airport is 15 mins walk, rolling a suitcase, from the apartment

Nearest airport

Gold Coast (Coolangatta) airport 15 mins walk or easy bus ride Brisbane International (& domestic) airports are a bus n train ride away (50c each section!) or approximately an hour and a quarter drive. There are easy international connections to cities in Australia and New Zealand from Gold Coast Airport.

Getting Around

There is a good bus transport 2 minutes from the front gate. Recommend you have a car to further explore the coast & inland areas. Many economical Rental Car company options nearby (or collect via rental car company shuttle direct from airport)
