General overview
Our lovely pre-war, doorman apartment is spacious (1,550 sq ft/144 sq meters), light-filled and extremely comfortable. The building, which is 100+ years old, is located on the Upper West Side, south of Columbia University. It is best suited for a couple but could accommodate up to 4 adults short term (two on the pullout couch in the 2nd bedroom).
The space
Our large 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment has real “flow”. It is more like a small house than a City apartment with a gourmet eat-in kitchen, brand new bathrooms and a gracious living room that is adjacent to the enormous formal dining room. The building has a lushly landscaped roof terrace that is open from Spring through Autumn.

We are a retired couple in our mid 60's who spend several months a year leisurely traveling to well known and off the beaten track locales. Because our building requires that we must exchange for a minimum of a month, our usual swap preference is for large, interesting cities. That said, we are also open to beautiful and idyllic spots. We most often travel with another couple in our age group so 2 bedrooms is preferable. There are no children.
"A reciprocal month long exchange starting January or February 2026 would be ideal."
