General Overview

We have a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment in a secure monitored building, there are two elevators and monitored closed garage so you don't have to worry about parking in case you decide to bring your car. The apartment is very close to the Serralves museum and a fantastic park Parque da Cidade which is great for running as well as picnicking. We are also only 10 minutes drive away from the nearest beach in Foz or Matosinhos (great place to learn surfing). Historical center of Porto is 15-20 minutes away by car depending on the traffic. Porto is also a great base for visiting other places in northern Portugal and Spanish Galicia. You can: - take a cruise on the Douro river and visit vineyards, - Braga and its famous Bom Jesus is only 1 hr away https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanctuary_of_Bom_Jesus_do_Monte - Santiago de Compostela in Spain is 2 hrs away - Arouca 516, a suspended pedestrian bridge and famous Paiva wooden walkways are 1 hr 10 min away https://516arouca.pt/en/ https://www.passadicosdopaiva.pt/en - Aveiro 1 hr - If you're coming with kids in the summer, there is a waterpark just 45 min drive in Amarante.

The Space

2 bedrooms: 1 double and 1 single. 2 bathrooms: 1 ensuite with bathtub and overhead shower in the double bedroom and one guest bathroom with shower. The apartment is 100m2, has a living room area with dining as well as separate kitchen and utility room with washer and dryer. Our place would be perfect for couples or families with young children. We only have 1 single bed in kids room but we do have foldable beds as well as cot bed, so I would say we could host 2 adults + up to 3 kids depending on their age.

The building has 2 elevators and low thresholds so I believe it would be accessible to wheelchairs, but do contact me and we can connect to check this thoroughly.

There are busses nearby, Uber is not that expensive but neither is rental at the airport. If you plan to wander outside of Porto, I would recommend renting a car.
