General overview

Peaceful and quiet home near the beach, Obidos castle and lagoon, 7 min drive to the city of Caldas da Rainha

The space

My home is comfortable, the area is very quiet and you will get a perfect night's sleep. I have two bedrooms for use, and the third has a home gym that you can use as well. Separated shower and bathtub with two separate sinks in the bathroom. The movie nook is where you can watch TV and there is also a dedicated workspace if you need it.

Guest access

Home is split level, so I'm one floor up. Dedicated entrance then you must climb one flight of stairs.

Notes

I keep a vegetarian kitchen so I ask that you do not cook flesh inside my house or use my pans for animal foods. In typical Portuguese fashion, my home does not have heating. While Portugal is mild during the winter, the house is actually colder inside than outside. I have a space heater, heated mattress pad on the bed and an electric blanket for use. That and wearing extra layers inside has always been fine for me :)

Neighbourhood

My village is small so they isn't much in walking distance, just a few cafes and restaurants. 7 minutes drive west takes you to the Foz de Arehlo beach and Obidos lagoon which is famous for kite and wind surfing (you can also rent kayaks and SUP boards). 7 minutes east takes you to the city of Caldas da Rainha ,which has everything you need, many restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, art scene, ceramics etc.

Getting to my home

I'm one hour north of Lisbon near the Obidos castle and lagoon. You can take a direct bus from Lisbon that is about 1 hour either via Flix or Rede Expresso.

Getting around

Ideally, you will have a car while staying in this area. Public transportation and Uber/Bolt are very limited. There is no food delivery here either.
