Neighbourhood

We live on 2 wooded acres on the edge of a town with a population of 600. The outdoors are the main entertainment and nourishment in Trout Lake, but our town does boast one tasty pizza place (open Th-Su most of the year and every day in the summer) and a fun music hall! https://www.troutlakehall.com/ The Hall also houses a great bakery & cafe that offers brunch on summer weekends. We live against the Gifford Pinchot forest, with ice caves, hikes, and delightful mountain lakes. Activities near by: 15 minutes away there are river rafting opportunities. 30 minutes S of Trout Lake is White Salmon with several great restaurants (and the closest good-sized grocery store and drug store). 40 minutes away across the Button Bridge is Hood River, Oregon with windsurfing, kiteboarding, wine tasting, and more. Our love for Hood River is what drew us to moving to this stunning area.

Nearest airport

Portland International Airport (84 miles)

Getting Around

Cars can be rented in Portland for travel to and around our area. Our town has two restaurants with limited hours, and a small General Store with basic groceries and treats.

Jennifer

Greetings from the Pacific Northwest in the United States! We are a family of 5 living in a sweet town at the base of Mt. Adams! Jennifer is the K-12 school's librarian and Tony dons many hats: project manager in transportation technology, school bus driver, and banjo aficionado. Our sons are in high school and our daughter is studying English at the University of Leeds (UK). We have a private tiny house on our property available for your enjoyment and slumber.
