Nestled on a property with a view of Mt. Adams, only 90 minutes from Portland, Oregon, 40 minutes from Hood River, Oregon, and 20 minutes from the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT), our newly constructed private tiny home is a wonderful retreat for guests who want somewhere peaceful to slumber while exploring the Pacific Northwest. This guesthouse has a minisplit to keep you warm on a snowy day, or comfortably cool in the middle of summer. With a queen-sized murphy bed, you can convert the main living space as you wish. The kitchen is fully appointed for any of your cooking or eating desires.
The space

While we have the house listed for up to two adults, if a family cosleeps or brings a pack n play, an infant or small child is also welcome.

Neighbourhood
We live on 2 wooded acres on the edge of a town with a population of 600. The outdoors are the main entertainment and nourishment in Trout Lake, but our town does boast one tasty pizza place (open Th-Su, with more days in the summer) and a fun music hall!

We live against the Gifford Pinchot forest, with ice caves, hikes, and delightful mountain lakes.
Activities near by:
15 minutes away there are river rafting opportunities.
30 minutes S of Trout Lake is White Salmon with several great restaurants (and the closest good-sized grocery store and drug store).
40 minutes away across the Button Bridge is Hood River, Oregon with windsurfing, kiteboarding, wine tasting, and more. Our love for Hood River is what drew us to moving to this stunning area.
Getting to my home
We are 90 minutes from Portland International Airport, and can be reached from I-84 in Oregon or WA 141. It is a beautiful drive through the Gorge! Trout Lake can be reached by taking Alternate Route 141 N about 30 minutes from the Columbia River.

Jennifer
Greetings from the Pacific Northwest in the United States! We are a family of 5 living in a sweet town at the base of Mt. Adams! Jennifer is the K-12 school's librarian and Tony dons many hats: project manager in transportation technology, school bus driver, and banjo aficionado. Our sons are in high school and our daughter is studying English at the University of Leeds (UK). We have a private tiny house on our property available for your enjoyment and slumber.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
