Extensive knowledge of Melbourne and surrounds. Happy to catch up and give advice on what to do when staying in Melbourne
Kel and Mick have been great to communicate with before the exchange. When we finally arrived in Melbourne they came to meet us at the Skybus Terminal. Their one-bedroom apartment is only 5 min walk from the terminal!
The apartment is cosy and we felt at home straight away. It’s got everything you need! The bed is comfortable, great shower and the kitchen is well equipped for cooking.
The location is fabulous! It’s as central as it can get which made it very easy to explore the city. Kel and Mick had even left topped up tram cards for us to use!
We had a fantastic 10-day vacation in Melbourne and staying at this apartment made the trip perfect.
Thanks Kel & Mick - we would love to come back!
If you're looking for accommodation in Melbourne, put this place at the top of your list! It's a gorgeous, spacious one bedroom townhouse in the heart of the CBD - a short walk from the best cafes and bars and major attractions. It's also a two minute walk to the SkyBus, so easy to get to and from the airport. The home itself is beautifully furnished and has everything you need - including a lovely lounge area, super comfy bed and wonderful bath. Kelley and Mick are the most incredible hosts. They welcomed me in person, showed me around the home, gave me some great food tips and even left me some lovely goodies! This is my first time using PLU, even though I've been a member for some time. I'm sold! Thanks for making the experience so incredibly positive. I look forward to staying in their beautiful home again, and arranging some swaps in the future. Cathy x
Thank you. What a great location for our Melbourne visit. So handy for the airport bus, trains and trams. So many eating out and shopping options close by. Perfect apartment for a couple.
We had a very special few days in Kelley’s unit in Melbourne with everything you need for a very comfortable stay . Kelley’s unit was very clean and in a very central area of Melbourne for transport ,shopping and sightseeing . We were greeted by Kelley as we arrived with plenty of information and a few treats left for us . We recommend if you are wanting a central stay in Melbourne this is the place to stay ,good luck on the weekend Kelley,go the Cats

We had such a fantastic time in Melbourne! Kelley and her husband were so lovely and the apartment was absolutely perfect for the two of us! Such a great, convenient location, right in the heart of the CBD and with the airport bus just across the road, we could walk everywhere! Thoroughly enjoyed our short trip to Melbourne!
Kelley & Mick were friendly, hospitable & very accomodating. This was a wonderful first PLU experience and I look forward to exchanging the favour! Their apartment is an ideal location for exploring the city with easy access to public transport. It is clean and comfortable with personal touches that make it feel homey. We also greatly appreciated their generosity in providing the little extras that made us feel so welcome . I would definitely like to return on a future visit to Melbourne and would recommend to other members.
Kelley was fantastic! And the apartment is in a good downtown location. The free trolley is close by and other public transportation is reasonably priced. We only stayed 4 nights and should have stayed longer! Everything was very comfortable and easy to think we really lived there. Thank you Kel and Mick.
Mick and Kelley had a lovely Pied-à-terre on the 9th floor on little Bourke Street right in the centre of Melbourne.
They both came to meet me and run me through everything. Such delightful people to meet. They also left me fresh produce for breakfast and little treats for my stay.
Communication was so easy with them.
Highly recommended.
It has been a joy getting to know Kel and Mick through our exchanges! We would welcome them back any time.
Kelley and her family were great guests. Easy to communicate with and we are happy to recommend them to everyone.
Kelley & Mick were easy to communicate with and we felt very comfortable leaving them in our home as our first PLU exchange. They took great care, leaving our home clean and tidy along with little extras like collecting our mail for us, emptying bins on departure… We’d confidently recommend them and would be happy to exchange again in the future.
Helene and Greg's magnificent home atop an extinct volcano in the middle of Northland is amazing. Three pods, connected by Greg's stunning landscaped decks, all off grid, beautifully decorated and luxurious. We had breakfasts, lunches and dinners seated at the outdoor bar looking at the unbelievably spectacular views. The views were as good, if not better, than those in the Tuscan hills. We drank delicous New Zealand wines in the outdoor bath while watching sensational sunsets.
On days we weren't chilling with a good book or puzzle we tackled some of the many walks along the hills and coast around Whangerei. Waterfalls, glow worm caves, beaches, mangrove board walks, Kauri forests...there's so much to see.
We also must mention All You Kneed bakery, which Helene recommended, where the sour dough breads, danishes, croissants and sandwiches ensured a diet on our return home.
Best of all are Helene and Greg. Once of the nicest, generous and creative couples we have met. We hope to stay in contact in the future.
We had an amazing stay at Sandy Bay. Such a beautiful beach and so many scenic walks to do in the area. The scenery is absolutely stunning and there are plenty of options to eat out in nearby beach villages.
Susan's home was a fantastic beach house with plenty of room for us and our family. The views from the kitchen, living area and deck are straight to the beach and we spent many hours (when we weren't hiking) watching the waves rolling in. The home is clean and tidy with everything you need to have a wonderful beach holiday. A great instruction book is provided which made everything very easy.
Thanks for hosting us Susan 😀
It was so lovely meeting Helene and Greg. We were friends straight away. They were terrific guests in our home and left everything extremely clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend them for exchanging with and I welcome them back to visit us any time
It was so lovely to meet Cathy, what a gorgeous person she is. We loved having her stay in our apartment which she left in immaculate condition.
We really hope we can organise some more exchanges with her as we'd love to visit her stunning part of our beautiful country. I think we would be good at sharing at bottle of bubbles as well 😉
We had a great trip to Port Fairy, which is one of the most beautiful towns in Victoria. The beaches are fantastic and there are many shops and dining options to keep you entertained during your holiday.
We caught the train and connecting bus from Melbourne and it was a really easy and comfortable trip if you don't want to drive.
Megan's home was very spacious and would be perfect for a family to stay. Plenty of room to eat around the massive dining table and the lounge area was very comfortable for an evening watching a movie. I even had a jump on the inground trampoline.
Tania and Rhys were lovely guests. Communication was great, they left our home in a spotless condition and we would be more than happy to host them again.
We are really looking forward to our trip to beautiful New Zealand to stay with Tania and Rhys in the near future.
😀
It was so lovely to meet Kay and John, who stayed for a few nights at the end of their trip to Victoria.
They were the perfect guests, leaving our home in pristine condition. We would be happy to exchange with them any time. The beautiful box of chocolates was an unexpected treat which I am enjoying with my evening cup of tea.
Thanks Kay and John 😀
Toni and Alex are the perfect exchange guests.
They are such a friendly, nice couple, if they hadn't been so busy on their trip it would have been lovely to spend more time with them.
Our home was left in a spotless condition and we would welcome them back any time.
We are really looking forward to visiting them in Perth next year to complete our exchange.
Megan is lovely. She is easy to communicate with and she was happy to change plans to accommodate our babysitting gig during her arrival.
Our home was left very clean and tidy and we would be happy to host her any time.
When I greeted Barbara and Jack as they alighted the skybus I knew I had made life long friends. What a beautiful couple, so friendly, kind and interesting. I could have talked to them for hours but as they only had a few days in Melbourne I had to acquaint them with our apartment and the local area and leave them to their holiday.
They were perfect guests, communication was excellent and our home was left in perfect condition.
Although this arrangement was via a globe, we hope to get to Hawaii one day and catch up with Barbara and Jack for a bubble for us girls, a red for the boys, and a long chat.
David was our first exchange on PLU and what a fantastic experience it was. David's communication was excellent, our home was spotless when he departed and best of all we met a wonderful person. We are looking forward to our journey to his home in 2026.
