General overview

Our cozy home has enough room for 2 people comfortably, a back patio large enough to lounge in, and easy access to denver highlands, Sloan’s lake, and all the food of Tennyson, edgewater beer garden, edgewater public market, and joyride brewing. Breck and Keystone are an hour to an hour and half away.

The space

Walking up to our house, you’ll meander through our front yard made entirely of flower gardens, our front dining table, and front patio for your morning coffee or tea. We have a bright living room filled with plants and one workstation, with a TV and Sonos sound bar. We have a tempurpedic king bed in our cozy boho bedroom. The large office has a second monitor with a Roku, a workstation, more plants, and a cozy reading book. There’s plenty of room for an air mattress for guests. Our bathroom was redone a few years ago with a tiled shower and bathtub. Our large kitchen has a new gas stove, dishwasher, and fridge, with a Chemex and Espresso machine (if you’re familiar with this type, you’re welcome to use it!) We have a washer and dryer and full pantry as well. Our backyard is the best part of our home, with a new paver patio with a covered pergola surrounded by gardens. The yard is fully fenced (though a bit muddy) and your dog is welcome to enjoy it!

Guest access

Our house is single story but does have a step into the front door and to the back door. The doorways are a bit narrow, so it could be tricky to access with a wheelchair.

Neighbourhood

We love our neighborhood! It is only four blocks west of Denver proper and a 15 minute drive to some easy hikes, but is tucked away on a nice quiet street with easy neighborhood walks, parks, and a variety of different architectural styles.

Getting to my home

There are light rails and busses to get to our home from the airport, though it takes awhile. There is a grocery store and Target 12 blocks away, with a lot of local restaurants. You’ll need a car to get to any hiking or to most of Denver, and Denver’s public transportation is not ideal, so a car is recommended, but we do have plenty of Ubers and Lyfts.

Nearest airport

Denver International Airport is a 40 minute drive/Lyft away, or about 2 hours via public transportation.

Getting around

There’s a grocery store and Target 12 blocks away, lots of local restaurants, and you can take a 30 minute walk to the Highlands or Tennyson Street areas, with lots of shops and restaurants. Sloan’s Lake is only about 5-10 minutes away by foot. We recommend having a car in Denver as the public transportation exists but is pretty inconvenient.
