General Overview
Charlotte is a pretty, clean , and growing city in center of North Carolina. We have a traditional 4 bedroom 3 bath home in an excellent suburban area. Charlotte is the 15th largest city in the United States, and easily accessible by car. The city has light rail as well. We are 20 minutes drive to the downtown area, 20 minutes to airport, and 20 minutes to Carowinds or Whitewater Center. South Carolina is minutes away.
Our neighborhood is in the city of Charlotte and right on the edge of small town Matthews, voted one of the cutest small towns in America. It has great restaurants, coffee shops, a hardware store, farmers market and thrift stores. Excellent location -20 Minutes to the US National Whitewater Center- a one of a kind outdoor center with cycling, paddling, whitewater, and rock climbing, a natural amusement park.
Spring is absolutely fantastic in the South, from Late Feb- to early May everything blooms (see photos). Summers are warm and humid, and conjure sweet tea and swimming pools, winter is mild and still nice for brisk walks, and Fall is very pretty with all our big trees.
The Space
The home sits on over an acre on the south side of Charlotte. People come to our neighborhood to bike and run because it is so beautiful! There are mature trees and plantings, lots of birds and wildlife, incredibly safe, and easily accessible to all that Charlotte and surrounding communities have to offer. Car may be included in some exchanges.
The house is sunny and bright. The kitchen is well stocked, with a cozy sunroom right off the kitchen to relax and socialize. Bedrooms are of good size. The master bedroom has a ensuite bath. T
The yard is very fun for kids and adults, particularly fun for slightly older kids, 6-18. There is a creek way in the back. The property backs up to a larger natural area, so kids can go exploring safely for hours. Further behind our home is a swim and tennis club with playground, which we are members and you are welcome to go swim and play!
In the yard there is a huge rope swing that all the neighborhood adores, a ninja course, and a brand new treehouse. Bikes available upon request.
We keep a large garden with mature fruit bushes and always something ready to eat from the raised beds in the summer and fall. It's peaceful to sit on the patio in the morning and listen to nature and enjoy a cup of coffee, or make a fire in the fire pit in the evening.
Guest Access
Guests have full access to the house, minus the garage and a small study off the kitchen.
Notes
We use natural, scent free products in the home. We are naturally minded and do not use chemicals. All flooring is make of wood and no furniture has fire retardants. We strive to keep it healthy and natural.

Neighbourhood
You will see deer every day. There are owls, foxes, woodpeckers, hawks, and more. People routinely run, bike, and hike in this park-like setting. Neighborhood is safe and friendly. There is a swim and tennis club with playground that is walking distance; guest passes can be arranged and playground is always accessible.

We are 15 minutes from I-77, and 10 minutes from I-485
We are 2 hours drive from the mountains and 3 hours from a variety of beaches.
Charlotte International Airport is a large airport and a hub for American Airlines.
