General overview
Our home is cozy and close to everything. The kitchen is wide open, so it's easy to chat and cook, or spend time lounging in our open common area. Our front porch is covered and perfect for catching an afternoon breeze with a beer or for tossing down skis after a day on the slopes. The house has old charm, and has a fun layout. We are country people, so our home has a cozy, western vibe. We love to cook, and we ride horses and play lots of sports, get into a rowdy board game or dive into a good book. Our home is packed with fun things to do and read.
The space
Our home has a large open living room, that connects to our dining area, bar and kitchen. There is a main bathroom with two sinks and walk-in shower, there's a big bathtub too.
There is one room on the main floor, this is our guest room, it has a futon and can sleep two people. There is a large walk in closet in this room. Upstairs is a second bathroom, and our daughter's room. She's a teen, so it's decorated with music posters she loves, and is very colorful, she has a double bed.
All the way downstairs is our bedroom, and chill out zone. There is a king sized bed, and sectional couch, a large screen TV, and an office space in a separate room. We have a crib in our room, where our son sleeps, so little ones are welcome, there's a lot of toys, and books for all ages too. There is another bathroom, with a shower, and laundry. Our office has a nice home made desk, a little lounge area, and lots of art supplies. Books abound throughout the home as well. There is a garden out in the back yard, the front porch is perfect for hanging in the Spring, Summer and Fall, and in the Winter it's usually where our winter sports equipment hangs out. We have a gas stove, gas heat on demand, and gas for cooking. This is our home, so there's everything you could need here. We do have dogs that share the home, (2 mini Aussies) so if you're allergic this would be a hard place to be.
Guest access
There are lots of stairs in the home. Getting into the home requires a few easy steps, but to get up and down stairs there are a couple flights that need to be climbed.
Getting in is easy, we have a key pad.
Notes
Bend, Oregon is safe, it's beautiful, and we take pride in our neighborhood. There's a ton to do outside, and Oregon is one of our favorite states! There is endless outdoor activities here. There's good live music, awesome food, fun shopping, and no matter what season it is there is generally something fun happening! It is a sleepier city, so things do tend to close early, and not everything is open on a Sunday, that's part of the charm here. There is a ton of parks, and we see deer everyday in town.

Neighbourhood
Our neighborhood is prime! We are a few blocks away from our favorite river spot and tons of trails that surround the river, and in the other direction is downtown Bend, it's walkable, but we do have a couple bikes too. We are very close to Newport Ave, and Galveston Ave, both have great food! The Old Mill has shopping, movies and more to eat, which is only a couple miles, easy to get there by any form of transpo. Mt. Bachelor is about a 30 min drive, or to get on the bus to get a ride to the mountain, the bus stop/park and ride is also within a mile or two.
Getting to my home
Redmond airport is about 25-30 mins away, it is easy to get a ride to Bend from the airport.
Lots of uber/Lyfts available all the time, there's a lot of good options for food delivery too.
Nearest airport
Bend/Redmond Airport is about 25-30 mins away in Redmond.
Getting around
We are very close to local stores and eateries. Having a car is nice to get to locations to hike, ride, explore, ski, etc. Cascade Lakes Hwy is right in our backyard, but that takes a car most months, or a snowmobile in deep Winter. There's a bus that goes to the mountain from town. Walking from our home to a local store and downtown is easy, we have a couple random bikes that you could use. Car swap?

Howdy! We are a family of 4, we have a teen, and a newer baby. We are in the medical field, and have decided to take a year to homeschool, travel, and educate our kids from the comfort of home, and the road! We are gardeners, have a couple Aussies, and love snow sports and hiking!
