General Overview

Situated on a lush three acres just outside of Sandy, Oregon.  Our location makes the perfect oasis for adventurers.  We have a trout stocked pond with a zip line and sand beach.  Our sauna will relax weary muscles after a day of hiking to beautiful waterfalls, mountain biking, paddle boarding or skiing at one of our three mountain ski resorts. Only 40 minutes to an international airport and the city of Portland which is known for it's unique cuisine, beautiful parks and craft breweries. Oregon wine country is 90 minutes away where you can taste amazing wine, most notably Pinot Noirs, and experience beautiful tasting rooms. Oregon's all public coastline is just two and half hours away. An easy day trip for surfing, strolling down the beach, and enjoying fresh seafood.  The location of our home is perfect for people who appreciate privacy, the sound of the breeze blowing through the forest, and stargazing at night. Our home provides you with an exercise room, first floor primary bedroom, soaking tub, large bright kitchen, second bedroom atop a spiral staircase, and a deck for sunbathing or relaxing.  Our location affords you to opportunity to experience one of the most beautiful states in the country.

The Space

Rural modern two-story farmhouse located on three acres just outside Sandy, Oregon.  First floor has a large deck, open kitchen, one and 1/2 bathrooms, living area, and primary bedroom with a king bed and soaking tub.  

Second floor has an exercise room and second bedroom with a queen bed and an additional room with a futon.

Guest Access

Guests will be given access to our property and all of its amenities. Including the sauna, paddle boards, bikes, outdoor equipment and a possible vehicle should it be requested.

Notes

We also have an outdoor only cat that you would feed along with the trout in the pond.

There will be a home cleaning option available, should you request it.

Neighbourhood

Forty-five minutes from downtown Portland and a ten minute drive from Sandy, Oregon. Located on a mile long dead end road, that is perfect for quiet walks.  Most homes have property that include livestock or large organic gardens. Our neighbors are very polite and helpful. Occasionally a herd of elk will saunter through.  Our home is 40 minutes from Timberline Lodge at the base of Mt. Hood, and from Portland International Airport.

Getting to my home

The closest airport is Portland International Airport. From the airport you will need to rent a car or use a ride-share option to get to our house.  The Seattle/Tacoma airport is three hours away.  You would need to take a train to Portland from there, and then contact a ride-share to get you to our home.

Getting Around

You might have access to our car.  We do not have public transportation in our neighborhood.  The City of Sandy has a bus that can transport you to Gresham, OR  where you can catch the Light rail to downtown Portland and surrounding areas.

Married Empty Nesters from the Stunning Pacific Northwest.  We live on 2 acres with a Trout Pond and a private beach in an area that is rural but still close to some spectacular site seeing.  We are 40 minutes away from MT Hood (the only year round ski Mountain in the USA). We also have great local Mountain Biking & Hikes. We are close To Multnomah Falls and Portland Oregon. We would love to travel to visit our 2 college kids in Washington DC and Oahu Hawaii or most anywhere abroad. We are new to home exchange but are Airbnb superhosts for our Glamping Treehouse.
