General overview

Our apartment was tastefully decorated during the Covid lockdowns and curfews. We didn't get bored, it was great! It is an old country school at the top of the village. As a family, we bought it and created 3 apartments that are only used for holidays. But we have furnished our accommodation with as much comfort as a main house. We hate being cold in winter. So we installed 2 pellet stoves (because the apartment is very long), but kept the leisure of the real wood stove in the living room, with all its charm... nothing better than the real flame! We found the openings too small. So we installed very large skylights. In winter with the view of the snowy landscape, it's magnificent! Aperitif, wood stove and view of the snow in winter, it's magnificent!!! We are only 15 minutes from the Le Lac Blanc resort. Notice to ski or snowshoe lovers. And above all, bring the raclette, it is in the apartment...as well as the fondues! (There is 1 baby travel cot if needed, you will have to bring your sheets for it)

The space

You will find a large living room, with open kitchen, a sofa for reading and many books. Television of course with broadband box, Wii for children, some toys for the little ones. 3 official bedrooms, with in addition a 120 bed in a passage. One of the 3 bedrooms is a master suite. There is a garden downstairs and parking spaces in front of the main entrance.

Guest access

It is on the 2nd floor without elevator.

Notes

This accommodation will only be used for an exchange (August 15, 2025 to August 1, 2026) simultaneously with a family who will let me have their accommodation in the United Kingdom or Ireland. Unless you live in Canada or America and have advice on obtaining a visa for a year and the possibility of my daughter going to an English-speaking school.

nathalie

Hello, we are a couple (Patrick and Nathalie) in our forties with our 7-year-old daughter, Abby, and our cat Keywest (who is 12 and spends his time sleeping). My husband is an architect and I am a construction designer. Having a fairly large professional network, we can spend 1 year abroad while continuing to work thanks to the internet. We have already spent 1 year in Mauritius, and 1 year in England. But I did not know about home exchange. When I left in 2022-2023 for England, my house remained empty. Now I think it is too stupid! We are looking for a family in the United Kingdom or Ireland to do a reciprocal exchange for the 2025-2026 school year. This way our daughter will be able to perfect her English.
