General overview

Our Home is conveniently located in the town Derby Tasmania in Australia. A short walk to the Main st where you can find coffee shops, restaurants, pub, bike hire and retail stores. The Blue Derby mountain bike trails are all around us as they end in the town. It feels like a ski village here in Derby but for bike riding. Watch all the action from our huge covered deck. You can see the pump track and bridge over to the lake and the shuttle buses taking riders up to the top of the hill to ride back down. If riding bikes is not your thing there still plenty to do and explore in this gorgeous part of the world.

The space

Our home was originally purpose built for short term accomodation. It is next door to our 'Holiday home' which is also listed on PLU. We have kept the minimalist decorating style however added some more homely touches to its 3 bedrooms. One with a queen bed the other 2 have 2 x king single beds comfortably sleeping 6. (More updated photos to come) We also have a work desk set up if you need to work while here. The home is heated in the cooler months with central hydronic heating and underfloor bathroom heating. We have a 6 star energy rating, lovely large sunny aspect theres always somewhere to find a sunny spot to enjoy your morning coffee or post ride beers. With the addition of a new 6 person hot tub in the rear back yard for privacy its the perfect spot for star gazing or to see the Southern Lights AKA Aurora Australis. We have securely fenced the back yard area and added a large lock up garage for your bikes and an outdoor fire pit. We are open to pets as we have a dog ourself Rusty the spaniel cross. We love our home and think you will too.

Getting around

Once you are in Derby everything is walking distance. Only 15-20 minutes from one side of town to the other. Most people ride bikes to get around or walk.
