Neighbourhood
The building is a 10-15 minute walk from grocery stores, pharmacies, bank; it’s a 5-7 minute walk to the bus stop and the REM -public transportation. There are a few restaurants and cafés nearby. Walking trails, parks, and cycle trails are easily accessible. In the summer, there’s a place nearby to rent kayaks to paddle on the St Lawrence river. The island offers lots of green spaces, golf, tennis, and pickleball. It’s the ideal haven for exploring Montreal's vibrant festival and food scene by day, but sleep in a quiet, safe, and green sanctuary by night.
Getting to my home
To get to Nun’s Island from Trudeau’s International Airport (YUL) takes about 30 minutes by car, and about 60 minutes with public transport.
Taxi: head to door 23 on the arrivals level. The trip costs $40 to $55.
Uber/Lyft: head to door 28 on the arrivals level. Prices are less than by taxi, usually.
Bus: take STM 747 express bus to Lionel Groulx metro station. Transfer: from Lionel Groulx, take the green line (towards Honoré Beaugrand) to Square Victoria-OACI Station. Catch bus 168 South towards île-des-soeurs (Nun’s Island), and get off at Chemin de la Pointe Nord/rue de la Rotonde stop. Cost is $11.25 for a 24 hour pass.
Another option would be to take the 747 bus from the Airport to Gare Centrale and then the REM to Nun’s Island. From Ile-des-Soeurs station, it’s a 5-7 minute walk to the condo.
Nearest airport
Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL)
Less travelled, there’s also the Montreal Metropolitan Airport
Getting Around
To get around, you can use the REM, the bus, bixi (public bike sharing system through app, there are stations all over the city and it’s a great way to sight-see and get around).
Renee has a very beautiful, spacious home - and so tastefully decorated! The property is so pretty - what a fabulous spot, very calm and relaxing.
It’s so close to Shediac, which has a nice vibe!
I really enjoyed my stay in your lovely home and I had a wonderful time exploring New Brunswick!
Renee is a great host, very helpful and generous - much appreciated!
Thank you, thank you! Hope to see you in Edmonton some time😊

Gina was such a lovely guest. She was thoughtful, kind, and respectful of our home, and we enjoyed our conversations together. We would be happy to host her again anytime 💕.

Retired and travelling more in the last few years. Have informally tested the waters of home exchanging through family and friends a few times and am curious about taking my experience a little further…
