The Space

Contemporary architect designed house with modernist lines, entertainer's kitchen and bar. Large north and west facing decks to watch the sunset and birdlife. Sunken lounge with large TV and sound system.

Guest Access

The house is on a steep site off the street, and is over 3 levels. Drive up to the internal garage or parking. 2 bedrooms on mid level and the main bedroom is on the top floor, so lots of stairs.

Notes

The house is very private and secure, with views across a north facing (sunny) valley and west to the tidal harbour.

Neighbourhood

Waiheke Island is a 40 minute ferry ride from downtown Auckland. Regular ferry services throughout the day/evening. The island is one of New Zealand's premier wine producing areas, known especially for our Bordeaux blend and Syrah. There are many fantastic white sand beaches within minutes of the house, to enjoy swimming in crystal clear waters. Waiheke has numerous cafes and restaurants to visit, as well as a network of walks across stunning landscapes. With Auckland a short ferry ride away it makes a perfect base to explore the region.

Getting to my home

Three ferry companies service Waiheke including a car ferry service. There is a good network of public bus transport and local taxis. The closest bus stop is a 5 minute walk away.

Nearest airport

Auckland International Airport services Auckland city, and is a30-40 minute drive from the ferry terminal.

Getting Around

Car possibly available by arrangement. Nearest shops including the supermarket are a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive. The nearest bus stop is a 5 minute walk. Buses serve the ferry terminal, shops and beaches. There are many local taxi companies and shuttle services, as well as hop on/off explore buses and private tours by arrangement with local companies. The island also has car and scooter hire as well as e-bikes.
