General overview

Our holiday cottage is situated next door to our house in small farming hamlet with 5 houses. Duing the summer months we open the cottage for bookings with various sites, but can offer a week if not already booked. Alternately, we can exchange with our main house next ddor to the cottage. There are photos available on the photo page and marked with Main house The cottage is available from the end of June till October for a Globe. From Mid July to the end of August we can only do a simultaneus swap with our main house as the gite is usually fully booked and our source of income. La Belle Grange is a 200 year old farm workers cottage that has been completely renovated to retain the original character with all exposed stonework and oak beams restored. The garden and patio overlook fields and farmland. Birds and wildlife are plentiful and it is a delight to hear birds singing in the garden. The garden is enclosed for the safety of your pets to enjoy the lawn and garden and run freely. There are many country lanes to wander with your pets, or take advantage of the two complimentary bikes to explore the surrounding area. The main house (available for sim swap mid July - end of August) is a 2 x1 home with a lovely open plan kitchen, stylish lounge area, two double bedrooms, shower room and toilet, big garden with wisteria covered pergola and outdoor table. The hot tub is not available during the sim - swap time as it is part of the stone gite/ cottage and for exclusive use of guests. .

The space

The ground floor consists of a spacious fully fitted kitchen with all appliances, a bathroom with bathtub and separate WC. Guests have exclusive access to a wood fired Estonian Hot Tub when staying in the cottage. If you choose a simultaneus swap during the high summer, the tub will not be available as used by gite guests. . A comfortable lounge / dining room with an original stone fireplace, log fire and French windows leading to a patio, B.B.Q. area and garden with extensive views. On the first floor there are two good sized bedrooms, one with an en suite shower room and the other with en ensuite WC/ basin/vanity unit To the front of the cottage there is an attractive courtyard again with lovely views, the perfect area to enjoy a glass of the local wine

Notes

It is neccessary to have your own car / hire car as we are in a rural region with limited public transport. We are happy to accomodate one or two small or medium dogs

Neighbourhood

Our property is situated in a quiet rural region surrounded by farmland and forrests. Beautiful walks and cycle tracks around the area make it a very relaxing place to stay There are many villages and towns nearby that are perfect for exploring and enjoy local French food and fine
