Hospitality Description: We're happy to offer our accessory dwelling unit ("the studio") which shares no walls with the main house. It has a king-size mattress in a loft, a couch with a full-size mattress pull out option, a kitchenette, and a bidet toilet and shower.
We unfortunately cannot welcome children or pets for Hospitality stays, as Cortana is sensitive to both.

General Overview
Our private forest home is in a relatively rural location, ideal for anyone looking for a quiet retreat away from city noise. We're tucked away on a sunny hillside with a beautiful view of the Olympic Mountains. Conveniently situated 25 minutes from Silverdale shopping and 30 minutes from the Bremerton ferry terminal, which connects to the heart of Seattle.
The Space
Sip your morning coffee on the deck with a picture perfect view of the early sunshine lighting up the Olympic range. Putter around our private trails, and pick wild berries for your oatmeal or fresh mint for your tea. Enjoy the cool nights on the patio under the string lights and the stars, with the fire bowl to keep you warm. Feeling athletic and adventurous? Follow the rugged footpath straight from our door to the valley, and trace the river through the 3000 acres of conservation forest land that borders our home!
The house itself is full of windows, bringing in light and the surrounding views. With vaulted ceilings, skylights, and an open loft, it feels bright and airy even on cloudy days. Stay comfortable in any weather with the heating/cooling mini-split and heated floors, or make things extra cozy with the wood stove. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking and baking exploits, and the bedroom has blackout curtains and a king-size memory foam bed. Luxuriate in every bathroom trip with the heated bidet and towel warmer. There are also two office spaces for working from home, high-speed internet on a mesh network, a smart TV with multiple streaming services, a small home gym, and, for some exchanges, one beautiful dog to keep you company.
Guest Access
Two floors in the main house. From the covered porch you can access the laundry room is down a half flight of stairs, and another set of steps downward will take you to the garage/basement with a workout room.
Notes
Cortana does not like other dogs or young children, so we are unable to invite either while she is here (such as Hospitality style stays or some of the Non-Simultaneous stays where we hope to leave Cortana to be minded.) During swaps where we will be bringing her with us, we are happy to invite your well-behaved dogs into our home too!
There is only one bedroom in the main house with a king-size mattress. The other two beds (king and full) are located in the studio, which is a separate structure next to the main house. Since the sleeping areas are in different buildings, it may not be the best setup for some children.

Neighbourhood
Out home is located in Seabeck, a tiny peninsula town situated 20 minutes from Silverdale shopping and 30 minutes from the Bremerton ferry terminal. Seabeck is full of parks and wilderness, offering close access to gorgeous trails through forests, up scenic ridges, and down sunny pebbled beaches.
Getting to my home
The best airport option is the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, from which you take the light rail to the Colman Dock (for the Seattle-Bremerton ferry). On the Bremerton side you will require a vehicle, or we can pick you up!
Nearest airport
Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, about an hour and fifteen minutes away by car.
Getting Around
A car is required for our location, and 4WD is recommended for our steep gravel driveway. If you are adept at manual transmissions we can usually offer the use of our car.
