A lovely traditional year-round cottage located right by the water and lovely hiking trails. This is coastal New England living at its best! The house is located down a long beautiful dead end street with a boat launch at the end of the road. The house is full of character and we are a 10 minute drive to historic Newburyport and destination of Plum Island with its beaches and nature preserve.
The space
The main level has an open floor plan with a cozy living room and kitchen with counter stools and a gorgeous little dining nook. It's a small space but perfect for entertaining. The main bedroom is on this level as is the bathroom. Completing the space is a wonderful screened in porch with space to sit or eat in nature. Second floor has a guest bedroom and a loft room that will have daybed and trundle (pics to come)
Guest access
The second floor is for folks who are mobile. The stairs have a few overhangs so can be tricky for tall people or anyone with issues navigating tricky stairwells.
Notes
We are on well water and septic. We have a distiller for drinking water and for septic it's important that nothing get inserted into the toilet but toilet paper.

Neighbourhood
It's a long beautiful street that is great for walking. About 10 minutes walk are various hiking trails and we have a boat launch at the end of the street. The back yard has beautiful perennials and the whole area feels very wooded and serene.

Best to use Google maps or Waze. We have a fun teal mailbox to let you know you're here!
Nearest airport
Boston Logan airport is about a 50 minute drive.
Getting around
You do need a car to get here and around. We are 10 minute drive from Newburyport which is a gorgeous little town full of eateries and shops. Also 10 minutes away is Plum Island with famous beaches in the area and the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge for more hiking and bird watching. Other great New England coastal towns are within an hours' drive in several directions as is Portsmouth Nh

I am a retired single woman who sometimes travels frequently on my own or with a friend or my aunt. I have traveled for work or pleasure for many years to more than 50 countries and retired early at the end of 2020. My hope is to spend more time slow traveling and this platform seems a great way to do that while meeting like-minded people! I adore traveling to Europe, and really up for adventure most anyplace internationally. Looking forward to meeting you!
