General Overview

Our apartment is in a quiet cul de sac only 5 minutes walk from the centre of Dundee. Being on the east side of the country, we experience more sunny days than you would think for Scotland. It is a modern building that sits over looking the beautiful river Tay. A short stroll along the river side takes you to the V & A museum and into the city centre. Public transport to Edinburgh / Glasgow ( approx 1 hour) or St Andrews for those golf enthusiasts ( 20 minutes drive). Great golf courses on your doorstep, some of the best in the world according to my husband! For a fun family game the Himalayas course in St Andrews is always fun albeit challenging! We can recommend lots of good eateries and activities in the area. Dundee has a lot to offer for families, lots of activities for children.- Olympia swimming pool, wild shore, camperdown park, science centre, indoor ice rink, cinemas, V & A and McManus Galleries, Tentsmuir beach and the amazing crepe shack.

The Space

We are on the first floor, there is a lift for access as an alternative to the stairs. There is parking on site which is free but not designated/ private. There are beautiful views across the river Tay estuary where you can enjoy the best of sunsets. Bedrooms are freshly decorated, double beds and one with an en suite. WC, bath and shower in main bathroom, shower and WC in en suite.

Guest Access

1st floor - 1 flight of stairs. There is also an elevator.

Notes

We ask that after your stay you leave the cleaning fee of £60 for our housekeeper.

Neighbourhood

Dundee is a small city, there is a shopping centre for those who like their retail. There are a number of bars and restaurants, the food scene has really taken off over recent years. On the doorstep of the apartment there is a water sports area called Wild shore where there are inflatable obstacle courses, water skiing and so forth. For the younger ones there is a man made beach with a fantastic outdoor play area, the water fountains are a firm favourite of our little ones in the family. It is a quiet area, with lovely walks on your door step should you wish and some fantastic walks, beaches and towns to explore if you have a car that are only 20 minutes away.

Getting to my home

We can't offer a car unfortunately but car hire from the airport is straight forward. Alternatively there are regular bus journeys to/ from Dundee and the airports with companies - Flexi travel and Ember bus. The train station is a 10-15 minute walk along the riverside.

Getting Around

Everything is within walking distance. There are public buses and trains, which are a short walk from the apartment.
