General overview
Our house is a comfortable Edwardian terraced house on a quiet, leafy street in the vibrant city of Brighton & Hove. on the South coast of the UK.
We are in an excellent location to explore Brighton and Hove. It's a 10 minute walk to the beach and Hove Lawns through lovely Regency streets.
You have an easy 20 minute stroll to either the vibrant North Laine area in Brighton or Hove's high Street of cafes, restaurants and delis.
As well as exploring Brighton, the beautiful South Downs national park with it's rolling hills and white cliffs is a short drive away.
It's also only 1 hour into central London, so there's lot's to see and do.
The space
Our house is a family home with a good sized lounge (by UK standards) and modern kitchen which is well equipped for cooking. We have a cute backyard that catches the afternoon and evening sun.
We have three bedrooms, all with comfortable beds. The main and second bedrooms have king size doubles and the third bedroom has a small double.
We have a modern bathroom on the first floor and a downstairs toilet (or 'loo' as we Brits call it).
The space is shared with our little black fluffball cat, Noodle. She is very self sufficient but does love a stroke and a tummy tickle.
Guest access
The house is arranged over two floors with a staircase giving access to the first floor so unfortunately it's not wheel-chair friendly.
Notes
We have a cat called Noodle that would be part of the swap, she's very independent and doesn't need much attention.

Neighbourhood
Our neighbourhood is made up of quiet Edwardian terraced houses in leafy streets. We have lovely, friendly neighbours up and down the street.
We are very near all the best bits of the city of Brighton and Hove. You can walk through Regency streets to the beach, visit the weird and wonderful Royal Pavilion, get lost in the lanes or play on the arcades on the Palace Pier. There is always something on and lots of interesting people watching in chilled cafes.
Further afield, we are also very lucky to have the South Downs National Park within a 15 minute drive with the famous Devil's Dyke. Lots of great walks in the outdoors with great little pubs dotted around. The Seven Sisters with it's white sheer cliffs is also about 40 mins away by car.
Getting to my home
We are on the train route from Gatwick airport with frequent trains which take 30 minutes. From the train station it's either a 20 minute walk or short bus ride.
We are not far from Newhaven port should you arrive by ferry.
The main motorway to Brighton is the M23.
Nearest airport
Gatwick - 30 minutes away.
Getting around
Very easy to walk everywhere in Brighton and Hove. Or, use the extensive bus network. You can also hire bikes and cycle along the seafront on the cycle paths.

Hi, I'm Mel. I live with my husband Malcolm and two boys aged 13 and 11.
As a family we love to travel and have visited cities across Europe. We've done one long train journey from Brighton to Granada in Spain which was really fun.
We have family in the US and Denmark so have also enjoyed some holidays there.
I love meeting new people and learning about different cultures so the idea of PLU really appeals. We are open to visiting anywhere really and are excited to connect with people. We are tied to UK school holidays due to the ages of our kids.
My husband and I run a software business together, usually working from home so it's great to get out and visit other places.
We have a cat that would be part of the swap, she's very independent and doesn't need much attention.
