Our house, built by my grandparents in the 70s, is the last house on the slope side of a residential street.
This means it offers an open view to the surrounding mountains, on top of a quiet and private balcony and garden.
Viewpoints of the lake, amazing hikes and the lake itself are all less then half an hour drive away.
We absolutely love our place and are constantly working on home and garden improvements.
Sunny all day long, but don't worry, you will not need airconditioning up here!
The space
We have one master bedroom with direct access to the garden below.
The second bedroom is currently being used as an office.
The loungeroom accesses the balcony and it is very bright, perfect for chilling and reading (on the couch or on the balcony loungechair).
Kitchen and bathroom are small but functional and have everything you need.
Office has a desk, reading chair and couch... and for the musicians out there, there is a digital piano and 2/3 guitars (depends if I take one on a trip!)
The garden has been set up (and being improved every day) for growing vegetables, storing wood and enjoying the peace of the mountains in the sun or under the stars. We also have a firepit, because it makes us feel we are camping!
Guest access
You will have access to the whole apartment, including the garden downstairs.
Our house has two other floors upstairs, with same front door access.
We usually only rent them in summer.
Notes
If you are interested in an even more authentic mountain experience, we can also offer you our little mountain house. It is about 10 min drive away, in a local "alpeggio", or pasture, in front of Premana.
Alpeggios are all over our mountains and locals like to spend their weekends or summer holidays there.
It also has everything that is needed (electricity, gas cooking, fireplace, fridge, bathroom, TV if you really want it) - listing coming soon!

Neighbourhood
Residential street (services less than 10 houses) so no traffic, just residents.
Water source 3 min walk away (the tap water is also delicious, but the natural sourse is always fascinating)
5 min walk to the "city" centre - lots of music and traditional food festivals in the summer
Supermarket is 10 min walk away
There are a couple of great restaurants walking distance, or just 5 min drive away
Beautiful hikes, from very easy to challenging ones, can be accessed on various points around here. If you love hiking and being in nature, you will not be disappointed!
And, of course, you will be less than 30 min drive from enchanted Lake Como!
We will be happy to suggest and even arrange activities for you, MG works in tourism on the lake and has all the right connections.
Getting to my home
You will need a car, to get here and mostly to get around easily
There is public transport, but I would not recommend relying on it to explore the area.
Nearest airport
Orio al Serio (BGY) is 1hr 15 min away (on a good traffic run)
Milano Linate and Malpensa are about 1,5 hrs away
Getting around
Supermarket, village center and a few hikes can be reached on foot
Lake, mountains and viewpoints would require a vehicle

People Like Us Local Guide
We are happy to meet anyone in the area to recommend (and join, if we can) hikes, activities on the mountains and by the lake, itineraries, restaurants... or just hang out around a local beer or glass of wine (yes, there is a winery here too!)
