General overview
Our home was completed in March 2024, and is located in the master planned community of Nocatee in Ponte Vedra, FL. It is a very family friendly area with lots of safe footpaths and bike paths for exploring. We are a 15 minute drive from the beach and approximately 30 minutes from both downtown Jacksonville and St. Augustine.
Orlando attractions including Disney World and Universal Studios are both within a two hour drive from the house making them possible for day trips.
The space
The ground floor is very bright and open with great views of the backyard pond. It has a large kitchen with plenty of appliances for meal preparation. There is a dining table for four as well as counter seating at the island for four as well.
The master bedroom is very spacious with a queen bed and features a large on-suite bathroom with huge shower and a large walk in wardrobe. It also has a Peloton bike that guests are welcome to use with their own account or our guest account.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one has a bunk with a double bed on the bottom and twin on top. The second bedroom has a twin bed.
There are two lounge areas with TVs. One is on the ground floor with a 65in TV and comfortable seating for up to four adults. Upstairs has a 75in TV and a large sofa that can easily accommodate at least 6 adults.
A small screened in lanai is accessible from the ground floor with seating for 2. The lanai has a great view of the backyard pond where you can enjoy watching the birds.
The house has a 1000mbps internet connection with wi-fi throughout. In addition there is a dedicated home office with two workstations, each with a 42in 4K monitor and all peripherals. One workstation has a sit/stand desk.
We have two 2022 Toyota RAV4 hybrid cars (one plug-in) that we are open to including in an exchange. There are also two adult sized bicycles available as well.
Guest access
The house has two levels. The master bedroom is on the ground floor and there are two bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor. The house can be entered via the front door, the garage and a rear sliding patio door.
Notes
While our home itself is child-friendly, it has a currently unfenced pond in the backyard, so families with very young children will need to decide if this will be appropriate.
The master bedroom is on the ground floor, so couples traveling without children can access all necessary functions of the house without needing to go upstairs.

Neighbourhood
Our home is located in the master planned community of Nocatee in Ponte Vedra, FL. Nocatee has been frequently named as the best place to raise a family in Florida and is a beautiful community featuring miles of accessible trails and nature preserves. Our home is 15 minutes from the beach (Mickler's beach), and approximately 30 minute drive from both downtown Jacksonville and St. Augustine.
Getting to my home
Car rental, taxi or Uber/Lyft will be required to get to our house from the airport if flying.
For visitors driving, our home is located in the master planned community of Nocatee (Ponte Vedra, FL) and is situated centrally between Jacksonville and St. Augustine and easy to get to via main roads (I-95, Route 1).
Nearest airport
Nearest airport is Jacksonville (JAX) and is about 40-60 minute drive depending on traffic.
Getting around
The community of Nocatee where the house is located has a town center with grocery and dining options that are safely accessible by footpath/bicycle path within 4 miles from the house. Lyft/Uber are available but not always at short notice. A car is strongly recommended for getting around this part of Florida as no public transport is available.
