Neighbourhood
Our neighbourhood is very quiet. Our street is a "cul de sac".
We are very close to Mariager Fjord and close to Jutland's East- and West Coasts
We are so happy that Per and Lone shared our house with us! We felt as this the Danish paradise! It made us feel directly welcome when they prepared us a delicious dinner and some other treats like vine, honey from their own bees and Lakritz sweets. Thank you! It was just a perfect arrival.
The house was tidy and clean, spacious and the interior was so inspiring! The kitchen was fully equiped with everything you need. We loved to cook meals in the kitchen and enjoyed the meals in the conservatory watching the birds in the garden - alternatively on the terrace or on the balcony with a beautiful view over the garden.
The garden is stunning: Bees next to apple trees and berry bushes, vegetable patches, a green house delighted us everyday. We loved to harvest our own delicious berries and tomatoes. And the best: It was absolutley effortless as "Robert" - the robotic mawn lower - was doing a perfect job. The chickens were also effortless: We were having a chat with them here and then over the day and received eggs from them. :D
The house is in a quiet place at the end of an one-way-street so that there isn't any noteworthy traffic.
Oue and the region around is a treasure! Lovely lakes in the woods, grain fields as far as the eye can see and beautiful nice villages that want to be discovered. We enjoyed the great walks and hikes and could have - if the weather would have been a little bit better - also done bike tours as they offered us their bikes including helmets.
Kattegat (Baltic Sea) is just a stone's throw away but also picturesque villages and beaches as Lokken and Lonstrup are easy to reach by car. Skagen and Grenen was also an amazing day trip. We got a lot of tips and recommendations from their Exchange folder as well as during our continous communication during the stay. And they shared the secret for Denmark's best soft ice shop which is only a few mins by car. Can't miss it when you are there.
We highly recommend an exchange with Lone and Per at their wonderful home!
We just completed a wonderful exchange with Per and Lone. Thanks to Covid-19 we had two years to get to know each other a little bit before exchanging houses. Before arriving in Denmark, Per had everything lined up for us. He arranged a car seat, golf club set, and a bike for our son. He also gave us great suggestions of what to do in Denmark, links to the train and ferry systems/schedules. It was all very helpful. Upon arrival at their house it was clean, organized, and very welcoming. They left us a note and some honey from their bees. It was very nice! Their yard is stunning with many flowers, vegetables, fruits, and even chickens and bee hives. The house is in a quiet, small town but close to other towns if you need restaurants or super markets. The beds were all very comfortable and internet connection was great. They were kind enough to let us borrow their car as well. It was a nice car, very clean, and good on gas mileage. We had the best time there and were actually sad to leave. We hope to be back some day!
As this was our first exchange with receiving guests in our home we were a little bit nervous if we thought for everything to make it comfortable for them. Lone and Per directly blown our concers away. The communication was so nice, easy and kind. As they are super experienced exchangers it was the perfect match for us "newcomers".
They treated our home with respect and care. We found it perfectly cleaned and tidied up when we came back. Even the towels and bed linen of their son and his family whom left some days earlier were already washed. We loved the little present and the kind notes we found in our guestbook. The neighbours also liked them very much and find the contact super nice and kind. :)
We want to thank you for this awesome experience and a travel we will remember a life long!
Per, Lone, and their family treated our house and cars with respect. We liked the communication we had with them if they had any questions while at our house. Our neighbors said they really liked Per and Lone as well. We came home to a lovely note from them that was really special. (Made me regret not leaving them a better note) They left our house and cars clean and in great shape. We would exchange with them anytime!
We did a lovely homeexchange with Annika & Martin.
Their appartment in the center of Kirchheim unter Teck close to everything is very clean and tidy and we felt very comfortable there.
Despite being in the center of town it is in a quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors and just a little trafic.
The appartment has 2 nice bedrooms, a modern kitchen and a lovely balcony - among other rooms.
Annika and Martin are so wellorganised when it comes to homeexchanging - and their house manual is worldclass! Which is quite respect worthy, as this was their first exchange.
Communication with Annika and Martin has been smooth and easy and we appreciated all the stuff and recommendations they prepared for us - including a bed, a high chair and toys for our grandson.
We recommend an exchange with Annika and Martin in the warmest way.

We came home and found our house completely spotless.
Annika and Martin had prepared a meal for us ready to put in the owen when we got back.
The couple took god care of our chickens and they even managed to get our robotic lawnmover running again when it was stuck.
Thank you Annika & Martin!
We've had an absolutely wonderful exchange with Chauncey, Tyson and Kira. We stayed 3 weeks in their lovely home in Broomfield. The house is spacious, clean and comfortable. We enjoy every day there. In the mornings we had breakfast on the patio overlooking the neighbouring golfcourse with the snowcovered peaks of The Rockies as a backdrop!
Communication with Kira has been so easy. They are so well organised and they did a lot of things to make the exchange perfect. Among other things - getting toys, stroller, carseat etc. for our 11 months old grandson.
When we got home to Denmark - we found our house completely spotless.
Thank you Chauncey, Tyson and Kira!
The Broomfield Family took good care of our house, car, chickens, garden and houseplants and left the house clean and tidy.
