General overview
Our nice house - in the middle of a street - just outside the village of Oirschot.
A real family home with a lovely garden.
In the country, but close to several beautiful cities and a lot of (outdoor) activities/attractions.
The space
Our house is a detached modern house. It was build in 2016.
Downstairs there is open kitchen and living, a play/game room for the children and a utility room (where there is a toilet).
Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms (2 rooms with a double bed and 2 rooms with a single bed), a bathroom and a separate toilet.
The house is heated and cooled with heat pumps. But in the winter, just for some extra warmth and coziness we have a fire place.
Through patio doors in the kitchen you can enter the garden. It is a spacious garden, where we love to relax and play. We have a outside seating with a parasol, fire pit and BBQ, where you can enjoy the view (and possibly see Linford - our neighbours horse - play with a ball or dig holes - we believe he thinks he's a dog). There is a small playground with a slide, swing, horizontal bars and a trampoline, but our kids love to play football, basketball or darts as well. There is also a small kitchen garden.
In the garage there are toys to play with in the garden and bicycles to get around in the area.
Guest access
There are 2 floors in our house (you can get upstairs with the stairs).

Neighbourhood
We live just outside the village of Oirschot (2km).
You can easily walk (30min) or cycle (5min) to the very authentic pittoresk center. It has a lovely church (officially it is a basilica) with a tower you can climb (on specific days - see visitoirschot.nl). In the center there are lovely local shops and cafés (we recommend an ice cream from 'De dames'; chocolate, coffee and tea from 'Boon & blad'; cakes and tea/coffee or bubble tea at 'Daantje'; or drinks and/or dinner at 'D'Stomerij'). There is a weekly fresh market on Tuesday.
In the village there are 3 supermarkets, a drug store, different gift shops and clothing shops.
In the area there are lovely walking and cycling trails. Also there are a lot of outdoor activities - such as tree climbing - you can undertake.
We are rural, but as this is a small country, you are in no time in the heart of city life. All you have to do is pick your favourite: enjoy the more smaller pittoresque cities like Breda, Den Bosch or Maastricht (my favourite); or explore Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Utrecht or Antwerp.
I have been told that The Netherlands has the most amount of musea per capita in the world? We are happy to give you are favourites.
Furthermore you can enjoy De Efteling (a lovely attraction park (30min by car) or go on safari in De Beekse Bergen (30min by car).
Getting to my home
From the airport you can get to our house by car/taxi.
From Eindhoven you can get to the railway station in the next village (Best) and then the bus (141) stops 200m from our house.
Nearest airport
The nearest airport is Eindhoven (15min by car).
But we ourselves also fly from Amsterdam, Brussel or Düsseldorf (all are approximately 1.5hrs from are home by car).
Getting around
A car is recommended (we have a car we can exchange with). For short distances we have bicycles you can use.
