Hospitality Description: We have a spare bedroom. It's right in the action of the house, so mostly comfortable for a night stay if you're travelling through or your flight gets cancelled.

General overview
Conveniently located in downtown Steamboat Springs, this is the perfect getaway. Cute yard and roof deck with views.
Easy walking distance to the Old Town Hot Springs (soaking pools and full fitness center), the express bus stop for skiing (or summer activities at the Steamboat Ski & Resort Base), Howelson Hill (free nordic and alpine skiing Sundays in winter and lovely single track trails for mountain biking in summer) and all the amenities of downtown. Hiking and biking trails start at the end of our alley, two houses down.
You won't need a car, but there's space if you bring one or two. We are happy to provide you info for private black car service to/from the Hayden airport.
This is our primary residence. We offer tons of spices, cooking oils, and high-altitude cookbooks. There's a grill outside, and a cute coffee and wine bar. We have a "drink one, leave one" option for wines and beers in the house.
The space
Living room, bar lounge area, formal dining room, well-stocked kitchen, mud room, washer/dryer area, and gear closet. Coffee lovers will like that there's a drip pot with gold filter, espresso machine, and two different sizes of coffee presses available.
One bedroom (queen bed) and bath (3/4) are on the main floor. The main floor bath is small, but functional. The second bedroom (double bed) and full bath area on the second floor. The full bath has a deep soaking tub and shower combo.
My small office space with monitor, keyboard and printer is available as well as a small workout area with yoga mat, bands, a Stairmaster, and a few small free weights.
Roof deck with couches (snow covered in winter), two covered porches with seating, and a cozy backyard.
Our master suite will be locked off, hence just two beds and two baths offered. We both work full time and simply don't have time to organize the master so it's presentable and useable by others!
We have high speed wifi, but not fiber as it is just starting to be installed in our Mountain community. Two TVs have amazon prime and we have an HDMI connector for your iPad/iPhone, or casting available with some devices.
Guest access
Parking is on the alley side in the driveway. Room for 2 cars off street. If you have a small car, you might be able to squeeze into the garage. Stairs to access two story house. Access is via electronic keypad. The house and yard is private for you. The yard front door is not accessible from the street in winter (see photo); everyone uses the alley door anyway! Parking is allowed on the streets in the summer, but not overnight in the winter, to allow snowplow access.
Notes
Our house was built to look historic and was built in 1999. We still have some quirks, but not those of a true turn of the century Victorian!
Our neighbor helps with snow removal when we are gone, but if you leave early or it snows a bunch during the day, you might need to clear a path yourself if you're taking a vehicle out. Shovel and broom are on the porch to clear the stairs. We also have an electric (cordless) snowblower.
Steamboat Ski Report is part of the IKON Pass family. It also offers fun summer activities (fun river beach, hiking, a bike park, free concerts in winter and summer, and gondola rides).
Up to two well-mannered dogs are allowed. Please no other types of animals due to allergies. We can provide large dog crates, bowls and dog beds. If you bring a dog in the winter, you may need to shovel a bit in the yard for them. Ask for more info on dogs in our house and activities in the community.
No smoking nor vaping allowed.

Neighbourhood
Our house is in the heart of downtown Steamboat Springs, but a few blocks off for quiet evenings. The Old Town Hot Springs are a very short walk. The bus stop (free bus) is 2 blocks away. An organic grocery store is also two blocks away and numerous restaurants, bars, and cafes are walking distance in town. The Yampa River flows through town and offers fly fishing, tubing and swimming opportunities. Tons of hiking, biking and nordic skiing trails nearby - just ask!
You could venture out for a day trip to Rocky mountain National Park, Vernal for dinosaur bones, the Flat Tops, or the Zirkles.
Getting to my home
We are 3 hours driving from Denver International Airport (DIA) or 30 minutes from Steamboat airport (HDN). Both offer shuttle service, private transfer, and rental cars.
Nearest airport
Hayden airport is about 30 minutes by car. There is a shuttle service (pre-book) or I can provide info for a private transfer.
Getting around
So easy to get around on foot, on the two town bikes we provide or using the free city bus! A 5-minute drive to the ski area parking lots. We can offer three pair of snowshoes for winter, a couple sleds, and if you happen to be the same sizes, we have Nordic, and backcountry cross county skis/boots you may borrow.
