Hi thought I better update availability 🤪 my house is available anytime, I work as a sailor so I am at sea for 6 weeks then home for 6 weeks but if you would like to use my house while I am home then that is possible as my girlfriend has a house on the other side of the Oslo fjord so please feel free to just ask and I am sure we can work something out .
My house is set at the bottom of the mountains and a short 1 hour walk directly behind the house takes you into the forest and up the mountains.
Its a agricultural area so lots of small farms making for a peaceful way of life .
In summer we can see some good temperatures Gvarv the nearest village has recorded the highest and lowest temperatures in Norway 35 to -30.
The area is beautiful with the small farms growing apples and cherries in the summer time.
Norways only outside water park Sommerland is 15 minute drive from the house.
In winter there is skiing at Lifjell skisentre.
They call this area lille Norge meaning it has something of everything you would expect to see in Norway.
The Space
The house is all on 1 level and has 3 bedrooms (2 doubles and a single bedroom which has another pull out bed under the main bed so you could actually fit 4 adults and 2 kids here.
There is a main bathroom with a bath tub and a shower and then a smaller toilet shower room.
The kitchen is of a modern and good standard with everything you might need from coffee machine to airfryer and all the main appliances.
There is a washing room with automatic washing machine and dryer.
The living room has a glass fronted wood oven for those cosy evenings or winter days.
There is also a heat exchanger pump and electric ovens for heating.
55 inch TV with surround sound system.
Guest Access
The house is all on one level but there are 3 steps up to the tearraces both front and back.

Neighbourhood
The house is located between 2 small villages that have plenty grocery stores and some restaurants and take aways.
There is a train station 10 minutes away with trains going every 2 hours to Oslo or Stavanger via Kristiansand.
It's a 2 hour drive or train trip to Oslo.
Getting to my home
Staying here you need a car as I am in the countryside so best way would be to fly to Torp Sandefjord and hire a car then its a 90 minute drive to the house.
Oslo Gardermoen is handy for trains and arriving at the small village of Bø about 6 km from the house. There is an app (get around) where there are private cars for hire in this area.
Nearest airport
You have 2 options in Airports
Torp Sandefjord about 90 minutes drive and Oslo Gardermoen train to Oslo S (20 mins) then Train from Oslo S to Bø (2 hours)
Karls house is on a perfect location, easy distance from Oslo and \close to the Town of Bo with lots of faciliteit. The best part is the street where it is situated, a small street and right across in the forest a magnificant waterfall! We watched the waterfall every day, and the ice changed it by the day. From the house you can walk right up into the mountain behind it.
The house is very comfi, we enjoyed the 'up north' feel with the fire and the great views from the window. We spent a week at Karls place in the wintertime and it was no problem reaching it in our 'normal car';-).
The road coming from Oslo and going to Kristiansand were both very beautifull and worth a relax day trip.
very much recommentent a stay here. And wonder what this amazing place looks like in the summer!

Rinka and family wanted a trip to Norway to find some snow over new year. We arranged a exchange and the dates where set.
I work as a sailor so I was actually away on the sea when Rinka and family arrived. But we had whatsapp called and i made a few videos of how the more high tech things in the house worked.
Lucky for Rinka and family the snows arrived before they came so I think the kids had great fun with sledges.
Rinka and family are a lovely family and it was so nice to let them.use my house.
They left everything as they found it and had the utmost respect fir everything around them.
If you fancy a summer vacation you are very welcome to come back 😜

Karl
Hi and welcome 😁 Telemark awaits you.
We are Karl and Kristin.
I came to Norway in 2010 from Scotland and Kristin is Norwegian. We have 2 houses this one in beautiful Telemark and one on the other side of the Oslo fjord beside Fredrikstad.
Having 2 houses means this one can be made available almost anytime 😁
