Conveniently located in the city of Belmont, just a 7 minute drive from Charlotte airport and close to the center of Charlotte (“Uptown”), the house is on an oak tree-lined quiet street, walking distance to quaint downtown Belmont and the Catawba River, where you can rent kayaks, SUPs and pontoon boats for a day on the water. Other local sights include the US Olympic Whitewater Center (rafting, zip lines, mountain biking, and live music), NASCAR race track, Lake Norman, Carowinds amusement park for rollercoasters and family activities, plus the many attractions of the city of Charlotte. The North Carolina mountains are an hour’s drive away, including the arty town of Asheville, the ski town of Boone, beautiful waterfalls and mountain lakes including Lake Lure, where the movie “Dirty Dancing” was filmed.

The living room comfortably seats 5-6 people, and there you will find a 55” smart tv, books and games for your use.. The covered front porch has seating for two while the back deck has a dining table and seating for 4 and Weber grill for evening barbecues. Penelope
We are a family of 5, most of whom were born with a sense of wanderlust. Paul is from the UK, Penelope was born in New Zealand, one of our boys in the US and the other two in London. I guess you could say it is in our genes! We now live in the US, near Charlotte, North Carolina, but love to travel when we get the chance.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
