General Overview

Central newly renovated family flat in a beach suburb of Barcelona, close to Sagrada Família and right in the heart of the trendy tech hub 22@ district, next to the Torre de Glories (Barcelona’s gherkin!). Poblenou is central yet untouched by the mass tourism of central Barcelona and here you can really live local Barcelona life.

The Space

We have 3 bedrooms (1 double and 2 singles) and a study in which a large double standard size inflatable bed can be used. The flat can sleep 5 adults or 4 adults and 2 children. We have two brand new bathrooms: one with a large shower and the other with a bathtub. The flat has all mod cons including TV, WiFi, air conditioning/heating.

Neighbourhood

Poblenou is a central, family-friendly neighbourhood, on the beach in Barcelona. Our flat is a 10-minute walk to the beach down the tree-lined Rambla del Poblenou. We have 5 supermarkets very close by, the largest being Carrefour at the Glories shopping centre which is just a 5-minute walk. We are literally seconds from the Rambla del Poblenou which boasts many shops, restaurants, cafes and bakeries and the area on the whole is full of even more cafes and restaurants around every corner. There are children’s play parks on every block, the closest of which is right under our building! Our flat faces the other way so it is very quiet.

Getting Around

The area is very well connected. We have a tram stop right on the corner that takes you directly to the Parc de la Ciutadella and Barcelona Zoo, a great day out for the family. This is also minutes from Arc de Triumf and Borne which is part of the historic centre. There are 3 metro stops that are a 10-min walk from the flat: Llacuna and Poblenou (L4) and Glories (L1) which will all get you to Plaça Catalunya in 10 minutes. There are also several bus routes.
