General Overview

We've done quite a bit of renovation over the last year to give our home a retreat feel. Every room feels bright, fresh, and relaxing. Our backyard includes outdoor dining, a covered outdoor living room, a yoga platform, thriving garden, and hammock under the canopy of a banana tree and bougainvillea. We live in a gated community, offering additional privacy, with a large private park where you can picnic, go for walks, and enjoy the balance beam, monkey bars, and exercise equipment. Encinitas (nicknamed OMcinitas for all its wellness offerings) offers everything for your time away-- beaches, lagoons, water sports, hiking trails, botanical gardens, nature reserves, cafes, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, boutiques, yoga studios, and really still maintains a small town feel with small and independent businesses everywhere. We are: - 10 minutes from Legoland - 1 hour from Disneyland - 1 hour from Laguna Beach and Newport Beach - 25-30 minutes from downtown San Diego, the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, and the San Diego Safari Park - 20 minutes from La Jolla - 5 minutes of some of the best beaches around - 45 minutes from Temecula wine country

The Space

1989 Spanish rooftop home - 1,500 square feet - 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms for your use - 1 King bed - 1 Queen foldout (mattress is extremely comfortable) - New flooring - New Stainless Steel Appliances - New paint in most rooms - Washer / dryer in garage - Tankless water heater EXTRAS: * Rad Wagon E-bike with room for a kid on the back (see pictures) * Kids bicycle * Therasage personal sauna Our house is one story and guests will have access to all of the rooms as well as the laundry, sauna, beach supplies, and bikes in the garage. We will have things stored in garage cabinets that are not available. **NOTES: - We do not have a TV. We watch shows and movies on one of our laptops and it works great for us. .

Guest Access

*Note: no pet exchanges. We are only looking for places with no pets and do not allow pets in our home.* Our house is one story and guests will have access to all of the rooms and the laundry in the garage. We will have things stored in garage cabinets that are not available.

Notes

**We do not have a TV. We watch shows and movies on one of our laptops and it works great for us. **We do not have AC (rarely needed as the climate is quite temperate here), but we do have a whole-house fan that creates incredible air flow on the warm summer days and nights (rarely over 80F/26C). We will leave detailed notes in the house and prior to your arrival.

Neighbourhood

There is so much within a short (5-10 minute) drive of our house! Downtown Encinitas is just a mile from us and you could walk, but it's a busy area for pedestrians and it's quite easy to park right in Encinitas, Leucadia, Cardiff or anywhere around and spend hours nearby. You'd mostly use a car around here and we are open to exchanging one of our cars. We have a light rail for getting into downtown San Diego as well the Coaster for going up to Orange County and other areas.
