General overview

We have a seaside 4 bedroom, 3 bath cottage / surf chalet with views of the sunrise over the ocean 80% of the year. We are in a serene, secluded coastal neighborhood within walking distance to a beach that is great for SUP, sail, and families of all ages. We’re also walking distance to horse stables and internationally recognized Newport Polo matches. We’re a short bike ride or drive/Uber down a country road to vineyards, surfing, beaches, hiking, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing. Drive a couple miles further (15 from house) and you will be in the center of downtown Newport and Thames Street. Enjoy the Cliff Walk, Newport Mansions, International Tennis Hall of Fame, Sailing Museum, Jay Leno’s Car Museum, Newport Aquarium, Newport Art Museum, shopping and world class dining! Take a harbor tour or charter your own boat. Newport hosts the annual Newport Folk Festival and Newport Jazz Festival every July. They host the Newport Boat Show in September. Live music, festivals, garden tours and events can be found all year round! Don’t miss the fields of daffodils in April! We have boards and bikes and everything you need!

We are an adventurous worldschooling family of 5, based in Newport, Rhode Island, where you can enjoy relaxing beach days or surfing, sailing, hiking, biking, horseback riding, SUPing, foiling, and kiting! We are located in a secluded beach community, a few miles from downtown Newport, harbor cruises, the Cliff Walk, the Newport Mansions from the Gilded Age, the International Tennis Hall of Fame and the Sailing Museum! Newport hosts the Ocean Race as well as the Newport Boat Show, Newport Folk Festival, and Newport Jazz festival. We are a walk or bike ride from beaches, wineries, and farms. We are open to traveling anywhere on this planet, so please reach out!
