Öster Mälarstrand is a modern residential area located along the shores of Mälaren, just minutes from the city center. There is a marina and a popular waterfront promenade. The area also offers plenty of parks and green spaces, several playgrounds, cafes, restaurants and shops.

Take the ferry and spend the day on a nearby island.

The balcony is a great place for breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening.
´Anundshögen´ is Sweden's largest burial mound, created at some point between 500-1050 AD. The entire countryside was a cultural center for western Mälardalen region and one of the hubs of trade during this period.
Go ice skating on the lake. There are skates to rent just a ten minute walk away.
