Neighbourhood

We are right at the border forest with The Netherlands. It's green all around, with 🚶‍♀️ WALKING paths and 🚴‍♀️ MOUNTAIN BIKE trails a few steps away from the cabin. A 15min drive away you can go for one of the most beautiful 🚣‍♀️ KAYAKING routes we've ever explored (and we can guide you to a kayak rental place). It is a 35km circle round, which you can do in a day, but preferably in a few days (like we are doing right now). One of the biggest privately owned outdoor/indoor 🎨 MUSEUM is a 5 minute ride away. Verbeke Foundation was founded by 2 private art collectors and unique in its kind. We also have some amazing restaurants nearby, including 🍽️ MICHELING STAR RESTAURANTS, we will recommend to you. The beautiful 🏙️ CITIES of Bruges, Antwerp, Ghent and Brussels are all within a 30min to 1 hour drive from the cabin. Each of them are worth spending a day or even two! If you come and stay here, we have a 📖WELCOME BROCHURE ready for you, which has our favorite activities, restaurants, sports, etc laid out for you.

Getting around

The closest supermarkets are in the Netherlands, a short 10mins drive by car or 20mins by bike. They are open every day, including Sundays and bank holidays.

BELGIUM Hey, I'm Lien and together with my life partner Alex, we are a Belgian-German couple who love to travel. We have lived in multiple countries (Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Malaysia and Indonesia) and combined we speak 5 languages.
