General overview

Our apartment is on the ground floor. It is completely barrier-free. It has a beautiful terrace with BBQ and a small garden. It has two modern bathrooms (one bathtub, two showers), a very large kitchen-living room, a bedroom with a king bed, a children's room with a single bed and another room with a pull-out couch that can sleep two people. The house was only built in 2019 and the furnishings are completely new.

Neighbourhood

The medieval town of Speyer in Rhineland Palatinate in southwest Germany is full of history (the Cathedral built in 1030 is the main sight and heart of our town). We are less than 20 metres from the promenade of the River Rhine and within walking distance of the historic city centre with a large pedestrian zone and many restaurants. We are only about half an hour away from the famous city of Heidelberg or the beautiful landscape of the Palatinate wine region, and an hour away is our state capital Mainz or the French border, so Speyer is a great starting point for various excursions. In the summer we have various lakes with lidos in the immediate vicinity and also a large swimming pool.

Timo

We are a family of three, Timo (40), Verena (42) and our son Janosch (8). We work as teachers and are experienced travelers and prefer longer stays both in Europe and overseas. We like to have exciting new experiences, immerse ourselves in other cultures and, above all, enjoy the local cuisine.
