Getting around
On the ground floor, you'll find a food shop and restaurant, and across the bridge is a bustling open food market with fresh local produce.
Located just a short walk from the old city, it’s a superb spot with easy access to local attractions without the need of the car.
For islands visits, a boat ride is only 4 EUR across the bridge, and the car ferry terminal is just 2 km away. Bike and electric scooter rentals are conveniently located nearby.
I am a multidisciplinary artist from Croatia who has shown her work on four continents from Kazahstan to Argentina. I have a beautiful sublet home to exchange on Dalmatian coast while I travel.
For many years I hosted more than 40 people from 15 countries through different couch-exchange platforms.
I am vegan and a cat-person.
My search for a place in NYC has a special note, while I’m looking for an accessible home as I have a disability that requires me to avoid stairs or steps. While I am not in a wheelchair, I do have artificial joints and can only walk on flat surfaces, but max 6 steps in a set while I have my assistant with me.
In this sense a home exchange or a couch for even a short period would be incredibly helpful and deeply appreciated, especially if in September while I am researching rental places.
I have many years of experience in hosting, so I don’t mind at all sharing a space with you if convenient for you while you are not traveling.
I can offer Guest points or my place on Dalmatian coast with a fantastic view of the islands and old city Zadar, for flexible dates and lengths in months between September 2024 and spring 2025.
For parts of my stay, depending on which month, I will be accompanied by my personal assistant, who will help me in my art projects. For other parts I will be alone.
The time I spend in New York will be dedicated to my art, conducting a workshop, attending auditions, and meeting with agents.
In exchange, I am offering my home in a coastal city renowned for its inspiring sunsets, which Alfred Hitchcock once declared the most beautiful he had ever seen. The accommodation includes two bedrooms and a pull-out sofa in the living room, comfortably hosting up to six people. Pets are welcome, and you’ll find that the historic parts of the city are all within walking distance, making it unnecessary to use a car. A local market offering fresh fruits and vegetables is just a few minutes away.
