General overview
Amazing beachfront property, fully renovated, available for non-simultaneous swap (not December/January). The views are breathtaking, the location is superb and the home has two pools. The house has ocean views from all rooms including the kitchen.
The space
House is split level and basement is separate flat which is self contained and can be included in the exchange. There is a small office to the right of the Villa which is self contained (two young ladies work there who will act as caretakers). Property is fully walled in with electrical fences (area is very safe) and parking on site for up to 5 cars. The bigger pool is solar heated (main picture), and terraces are sheltered from the wind.
Master bedroom has amazing ensuite bathroom with a double rain shower, double vanities, large bath under the window with views of the ocean and large balcony that overlooks the ocean, extra long and extra large orthopedic King bed. Two smaller bedrooms on same level both with queen beds, one with garden and the other with ocean views. Hallway has a second bathroom with separate shower and small bath. There are two reception areas downstairs including a "braai" room with walk-out to the terrace and a large lounge that also opens up into the pool area. Kitchen is large, state of the art and has a separate scullery with new washer/dryer. Guest loo is on the landing.
The downstairs apartment boasts a 4th large master bedroom with King size bed. It has it's own kitchenette, dining and sitting area as well as a 5th open plan bedroom that sleeps two. The apartment is connected indoors to the main house but also has it's own entrance and walk-out onto the garden.
Please note that this property is not suitable for very young children and children that cannot swim. The main pool is not fenced off and there are quite a few steps to consider. We have put in a second " splash" pool with a beachy vibe; this is also not fenced in. The property also has a pond or two so it is definitely not safe for little ones. Minimum age is 5 or up and if your 5 yr old cannot swim, please book a different property!

Neighbourhood
Melkbos and nearby Blauberg are known as surfer's paradise and the waves are superb. Nearby Atlantic Golf Estate will enable you to work on your perfect golf form. Melkbos is only an hour from the wonderful winelands of Paarl and Stellenbosch and it has a direct safe City bus public transport system to Cape Town. We absolutely love this neighbourhood as it's nice and quiet, but you're still closeby to all the major tourists points (the Table mountain, Lion's Head etc).
Getting around
Melkbosstrand is a quiet little coastal town only 30 kilometers/19 miles from down-town Cape Town. You will need to rent a car to get around.
