Hello! We’re a friendly family offering a unique cultural Hospitality opportunity in our cozy, fixer-upper home just steps from the Pacific Ocean. At night, you’ll fall asleep to the soothing sound of waves, and during the day, you’ll discover the magic of coastal living in one of Oregon’s most artistic and culturally rich towns.
We live in Yachats — known for its natural beauty, vibrant Pacific Northwest culture, and artistic soul. From galleries and local events to tidepooling and agate hunting, there’s always something to explore. We love sharing our favorite hidden gems — including harbor seals, coastal trails, and driftwood beaches.
About Us
I (your host!) am an artist and energy healer who enjoys creating and connecting through art and nature.
My husband is a skilled general contractor and always has a few fun house projects on the go.
Our home is currently shared with our two sons (ages 21 and 18 — the younger will be heading to college soon), two sweet indoor cats, and a very senior Boston Terrier.
We enjoy welcoming others into our home and believe that learning from each other’s backgrounds and perspectives enriches us all.
What We Offer
Comfortable shared accommodation currently have a sofa sleeper in the living room and a and a queen bed in a divided room in September we will have a spare private room a short walk from the beach

We are looking to do a exchange in or near niantic Ct Sept 22- August 3 we are happy to take care of animals and if the right exchange opportunity presents it’s self we would love to work out a car exchange also.

General Overview
Our home is a quaint, beach cottage under remodel construction at the moment.
Welcomes you with coastal art ,glass and fun touches. Sunset Cottage offers a comfortable floor plan that sleeps up to 5 guests, with 2 bedrooms and 1 bath in the main exchange area, We do have 2 studios attached one is occupied full time The other is a Large master with a second bath that may be included in a exchange if we are not in town our home provides the ultimate in peace and relaxation. You are surrounded by large cedar trees for a back yard bbq but also you are just a short walk down the hill to a secluded beach . You will love the sunset ocean views with the open floor plan you can see the ocean from the great room.
Open the windows, hear the waves and sleep to the rhythmic sound of waves.
Enjoy Watching whales or waves, from our great big 6 ft windows room watching sunsets or our famous Oregon coast storms many enjoy.
This home is perfect for a family vacation or a romantic getaway.
We have a fenced in back yard with a fire pit and hot tub and we have plenty of yard games .
We are located a short drive away from the historic Newport Bay front, Nye beach and Newport Aquarium.
Yachats sits at the base of the Oregon Coast Range along the Pacific. It’s home to beautiful , artist galleries and gift shops, outdoor markets and hiking trails at gorgeous Cape Perpetua Scenic Area, the highest point of the Oregon Coast.
We have 3 furry hosts who love company and to give loves.
We do have different options sometimes they are not available to host.

We are always ready for a new adventure, We love meeting new people and seeing new places and learning about new cultures .
We are usually a travel party of 2 but have 3 amazing boys who we hope may join us from time to time..
In all honesty I have been stalking you all on PLU for years waiting until this adventure could work for us! With our last boy graduating from high school this next year . We will be empty nesters.
