General Overview
A tropical oasis set on 8.6 acres of land with Ewen Maddock Dam just over the hill or a 2.5km walk along the road.
Our house can not be seen from the road, so enjoy a coffee or wine on the deck that overlook a variety of established trees.
Newly renovated kitchen, 4-6 person outdoor spa, outdoor firepit and some friendly goats!
The Space
Set in the highly sought after Sunshine Coast hinterland - find yourself 10 minutes to Australia Zoo, 10 minutes to Aussie World, 20 minutes to Caloundra beaches, 25 minutes to Mooloolaba Sealife Aquarium.
Ewen Maddock Dam is 2kms away with a designated swimming area with a sandy beach, boardwalk and multiple ferny and shady walking tracks.
The charming town of Mooloolah Valley is 2kms left from the driveway and has an IGA supermarket, cafe, bottleshop, chemist, Mitre 10, hairdresser, butcher, bakery etc.
2kms in the opposite direction takes you to the highly recommended Country Club with free lawn bowls on Sundays!
1 hour drive to Brisbane Airport
25 minutes to Sunshine Coast Airport
Guest Access
There is a ramp from the carport to access the laundry, ensuite bedroom or across the atrium bridge to the loungeroom. Alternatively, four steps from the carport to the sunroom and kitchen.
Downstairs is an extra room that has a single bed, air conditioner, kid play area, kitchenette and toilet. This is also the best access to the outdoor spa.
Notes
We have 6 chickens and two goats that would need to be fed and locked up each night (our neighbours can also help if needed).
Two indoor cats with a timed food despenser and one outside only dog in his fully fenced yard (Wolfhound X). Again, neighbours can assist if that's preferred.

Alisha and Martin's home was beautiful, tucked away in the rainforest so very peaceful but with lots to do nearby. It was perfectly set up for little kids, our daughter loved feeding the animals and playing with some different toys. The house is large and comfortable with everything we needed and was a lovely relaxing place to spend time in between day trips. The animals were very low maintenance and Alisha and Martin left us very clear instructions so looking after them was a highlight and left us with all the time we wanted to explore nearby. We really enjoyed staying in the rainforest but also being only a short distance from the beach. Thank you to Alisha and Martin for a lovely stay!
Alisha and Martin were lovely guests, very easy to communicate with and very helpful in looking after our home. They looked after our chickens while we were away which was a great help and we came back to the house looking immaculate. We would be happy to have them stay again any time.
Feedback for Liz & Alex·Simultaneous exchange·5 nights
Liz and Alex's home was a relaxing stay for a visiting family of five. My travelling inlaws from Germany particular loved the old Queenslander style and the beds were comfortable and private from each other. We especially appreciated the separate toilet near the second and third bedrooms. The bathroom is gorgeously renovated with a giant shower and bath for the toddler. An abundant of toys, a sandpit and swing to entertain the little ones, as well as fresh eggs from the low maintenance chickens.
Liz was easy to communicate with and very flexible with changing days due to ongoing weather conditions. Even though it was wet while we visited, there was still plenty to do: from visiting the Deer Sanctuary, Cedar Creek Falls, Mount Glorious Rainfores Circuit walk to enjoying the local parks and restaurants in Samford Village. It was even nice to just sit outside and enjoy the breeze under the established trees onlooking the dam.
Thank you for having us 😀

Liz and her family left our place immaculate. She was very easy to communicate with and flexible on arrival and departure times. They were respectful of our animals and looked after everything with ease. We would definitely recommend having Liz stay in our home again.
We are a mid 30s and early 40s couple with a 3 month old and 3 year old. Martin is a pastry chef by trade from Germany but now a business owner. I am a Secondary English teacher. We love hiking, wineries and animals!
