General overview
Hi! We really love the home exchange experience rather than just another hotel room! This is the way we prefer to travel and we are hooked. Open to consider any destination.
We're very experienced with over 60 exchanges so far.
The space
We're fortunate to own a lovely, spacious home in a very nice, friendly, quiet neighborhood. 4,000+ Square Feet (390 sq. meters) with 3 Bedrooms / 4 Bathrooms, a home office, multi-level deck, backyard waterfall and pond, dining room, family room, living room and 2nd family room / recreation room with Smart TV and basic exercise equipment downstairs (treadmill/weights). Spacious & comfy Master Suite with King bed (Temperpedic mattress), jetted tub, shower, granite double vanity, plenty of guest closet space for you, and balcony.
We are open to simultaneous exchanges, non-simultaneous, or hosting you in our guest room (very private with private bath and full living area with SmartTV and garden access). Kids are welcome, but we don't have kid stuff and our home isn't child-proof for young children. We can accommodate 6 persons and will consider that, but prefer to exchange with smaller parties, since it's usually just the two of us in your home. Sometimes we invite a friend or parent to join us, if timing aligns.
Exchanging cars is possible/usually preferred (we're insured and excellent drivers - even on the left!). Our cars are automatic transmission and depending on where we are, you'll have the Honda Odyssey van - excellent for ski days, golf clubs and road trips (GPS included) or fun MINI Cooper Countryman. We also have free, secure wi-fi internet access, hair dryers, bath robes, picnic coolers, concert chairs and more. Have fun exploring Colorado!
Also, for reciprocal exchanges we arrange to have our home cleaned before and after the exchange and prefer our exchange partners arrange for that at their home, then no one has to spend their vacation cleaning on the day of departure.
Guest access
Two floors plus walkout basement (technically three floors). Large garage and plenty of parking. King bed in master, queen beds in two other bedrooms - each bedroom has its own bathroom. Plus an extra bathroom on the main floor.
Notes
We list our home as Allergy-Free because Sheila has allergies and we're very careful about scents, fragrances, cleaners, chemicals and smoking. For us, Non-Smoking is very important and means no smoking at all. The house is only available for people who DO NOT smoke. Unfortunately, smokers who only smoke outside still bring the allergens inside on their skin, clothes etc. Sorry, but it makes Sheila sick - literally! It's not personal.

Neighbourhood
We live in a wonderful neighborhood with friendly neighbors, a private community swimming pool / tennis courts and beautiful mountain views. We are convenient to a variety of activities - Easy access from major highways. Very convenient to excellent shopping and restaurants. It's 30 minutes to Red Rocks amphitheatre, downtown Denver, 16th Street Mall, mountain trails, bike/walk paths, Roxborough State Park, Coors Field (home of the Rockies), Invesco Field (Broncos), Pepsi Center (Nuggets & Avalanche). We are 45 minutes from Denver International Airport (DEN) and almost an hour to Colorado Springs. Ski areas are 90 minutes away. Some guests do day trips to ski or stay a few days in the mountains. Rocky Mountain National Park /Estes Park is less than 2 hours away. White water rafting less than an hour. There are numerous high quality, inexpensive golf courses nearby, as well as more exclusive courses. A 24 screen movie theatre complex is 5 minutes away.
Getting around
You will need a car to get around. We are open to car swapping as part of the exchange with proof of insurance. Many of our exchanges have included a car and have been great (even driving on the "wrong" side often).

Tom and Sheila
We are open to all destinations - especially Caribbean, Asia, Europe, but also anywhere in the USA and Canada. Planning a trip to Australia in 2021.
Tom is an avid golfer, skier, and hiker. Sheila is an insatiable SCUBA diver, event planner, involved in non-profit work and enjoys crafty sewing. We're blissfully married and enjoy exploring the world together. We can often do much of our work from anywhere with our laptops. We love to travel, whether for extended times abroad or just local road trips, exploring places off the beaten path. Natural wonders such as waterfalls, rock formations, oceans and remote beaches excite us more than large cities, yet we also like museums, history, concerts, festivals, major league sports (esp. Baseball), different cultures and cultural events. We love to scuba dive, snorkel, hike and just enjoy the area. We're clean, respectful and make every effort to be excellent hosts and / or house guests. We are non-smokers and no one is allowed to smoke in our home, outside or cars.
We'll take excellent care of your home! We've done simultaneous exchanges, non-simultaneous, and hospitality, actually 60+ exchanges. Happy to discuss what works for your availability and exchange preferences.
