General overview
We have a 4 bedroom 5 bath home with all of the amenities for a family. Our neighborhood is beautifully wooded but right in the city near many attractions. We have a pool, air hockey, pop-a-shot, a gymnastics bar, and lots of comfortable areas to read, play, or work when you are not out sight seeing!
The space
Upstairs we have 4 bedrooms and 2 baths (one ensuite). One bedroom has a king bed and a couch that converts to a twin bed, one has a queen, one has a full, and the fourth has a twin bunk bed. There is room for an air mattress or two if necessary. The main floor has a large kitchen with eat in area, a small bar area, a dining table for 8, a comfortable tv room, and a cozy hearth room with a large functioning gas fireplace. The main floor has a full bath and a half bath. The basement is a kids' haven with an art room, air hockey table, pop-a-shot basketball game and lots of toys and legos. Outside we have an in-ground trampoline and a play set as well as a large pool with a diving board surrounded by a sitting area and lounge chairs, as well as a small pool house bathroom. The large front yard has a swing that hangs from a tree about two stories up and is great fun.
Guest access
The home is 2 stories plus the basement and stairs are required to reach all bedrooms. To enter the main level there is one step up from either door.
Access will be given by a code in the garage. There will likely be a garage spot available for guest use, and use of a car is possible depending on circumstances.

Neighbourhood
Our neighborhood is a former Christmas Tree farm where many pines remain. This shock of green in the middle of the city is a beautiful escape. We are a close drive to many shops and restaurants, downtown Indianapolis (Colts and Pacers games as well as Fever games - Go Caitlin Clark!, ComiCon, conferences, etc.) and about 15 minutes from the Butler University and Broadripple neighborhoods.
Staying in Indianapolis is a great hub to visit many midwest cities within a 4 hour drive: Chicago, Cincinnati, Louisville, St. Louis, Columbus, etc. as well as scenic areas in the state such as Brown County.
Getting to my home
IND is the Indianapolis airport, and is the easiest way to get to our home. The drive from the airport is 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Uber is an easy way to make this trip.
Those that are driving in can easily get to our home within a few minutes of exiting from 70, 74, 65, or 69.

Getting around
Our home is very close to many things but doing so without a vehicle would be difficult. We have easy access to Uber. The area outside of the neighborhood is not particularly walkable. Driving, renting a vehicle, or (depending on timing) borrowing one of ours would be the best way to see the surroundings.

I know the area well and would be happy to meet up and chat about all offerings in Indianapolis and around, especially for families traveling with kids.

Hello! We are a travel loving family of 5 (kids ages 9.10,11) and are looking to get started in this amazing community. We love seeing new places, learning how people live around the world, and just exploring our earth. Our home base is Indianapolis, Indiana, where we have lots to do and are an easy drive to many midwest cities and attractions. We travel mostly on a school break schedule and are interested in all types of exchanges!
