General overview
Is Ireland on your bucket list? Do you want to escape the summer heat and visit our beautiful country?
We are a family of 6. We love to travel to the Southeast United States and hope for an exchange during the summer months to a family home in Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky, South Carolina or North Florida.
Our home is conveniently located in a rural area 10km from Galway City. It is the ideal base for exploring the vibrant culture, lively atmosphere, pubs and restaurants of Galway. We are a short drive from the Wild Atlantic Way with the Cliffs of Moher, beautiful beaches in the Atlantic, the Burren and the Aran Islands all within easy reach for a day trip.
The space
Our home has 4 bedrooms. The master bedroom is on the ground floor and has a Super King bed and a en-suite walk-in shower. Three bedrooms and two full baths are upstairs.
We have a comfortable living room with Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. A playroom has plenty to keep little ones occupied.
The fully equipped kitchen allows you to enjoy home cooked meals in the dining area or on the patio if the weather cooperates.

Neighbourhood
Our home is on a quiet cul de sac in a friendly neighbourhood surrounded by green fields and plenty of cattle. The closest village is 2km away where you will find a grocery store, restaurants and pubs. Enjoy quiet walks on country lanes off the beaten path.
Getting to my home
We are a 15 short drive from Galway City or leave the car at the bus stop 2.5 km away and hop on the bus.
Nearest airport
Shannon Airport is 1 hour away. Dublin airport is 2 hours by car.
Getting around
A car is needed to best explore the area. Use of our 5 seat car is a possibility.
There is a bus stop 2.5km away with a direct routes to Galway City.
Dublin is a 2 hour drive away. Donegal and the Ring of Kerry are within easy driving distance.
