WOW! We had a great time at Edit's apartment in Durres, Albania! It had everything we needed and was really close to the beach. We walked on the beach in the mornings and had great dinners at local restaurants. The fish was amazing! My only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. Albania is a beautiful country and we are already thinking about returning some day! Edit was a fantastic host! We were in touch via WhatsApp and she was quick to answer and to lend suggestions. This was our first time having guests in our house through PLU, as well as visiting Albania. Edit and her guests were very respectfull of our home. And Edit an amazing guide to Albania. She is very accomodating and great to communicate with. We did have a great time in Durres, Albania. The flat was super clean and spacious, decorated with a loving heart. It is situated very close to the beach, which we spent most of our time at. Albania is a quit new holliday destination and staying at a flat outside a hotel complex gives one an insight in to the real world. Visiting Albania is for more seasoned travellers. But if you are exactly that, you will love the true feeling of this place. Me and my boy of 12 explored with Edits wunderfull guidance and help from the locals. We are very greatfull for this opportunity and would exchange with Edit enytime. I hope she also feels we have taken good care of their holliday home. -

We are Edit & Loren, a married couple from Albania. Loren is a construction engineer, while I work as an auditor in Norway where we have been living for 6 years.
We love travelling and exploring new countries but recently discovered this group and would love to exchange our apartment in Albania in the future.
We like to spend our free time training, being outside in nature, going for a hike or being with family/friends. I also like yoga, meditation, reading books, while Loren loves to watch football.
Our apartment is a vacation home and it is located in Durres, a seaside city, with mild weather year round. It is located 300 m away from the beach. Since it is not our primary home, we are very flexible and open for non-simultaneous exchanges/globes. Note that our apartment is not available during summer months (june - august) as we use it ourselves during that period or we rent it out sometimes.
Smoking inside the apartment is not allowed but you can surely sit outside in the balcony, with the windows open, to do so.
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed since I am allergic to cats and dogs.
I would also prefer traveling to homes where pets are not there during our stay.
We usually travel as a couple but on occasion, we may want to bring a couple of friends or parents along, but we will obviously always ask for permission first.
