Käpylä is a friendly, beautiful neighbourhood loved by families and artists.

Neighbourhood
Käpylä is a charming neighbourhood with wooden houses and olded apartment buildings mostly from 1920-1950’s. Majority of Käpylä was built for the Olympic games, where sportsmen were accomodated. Later families moved to the apartments and Käpylä became a familydream neighbourhood.
Käpylä has a communal spice: you can find flea markets on weekends next to a cafe by a park, restaurants and cafes, an outdoor pool area (Kumpulan maauimala), forests and nature all around. The area is unbelievably green.
The Pasila station and Mall of Tripla are just 10-15 min walk away or couple of minutes by bus.
Helsinki center is 15 min by bus, and hipster area of Kallio 10 min away. The tram no 1 comes to Käpylä is you want to take a bit slower route.
Getting to my home
Helsinki Vantaa airport is 10-15 min away with taxi, 30 min by bus.
A bus stop from the airport is a couple of minutes walk away!

Essi
Family of four from Helsinki, Finland. Two professional actors, Mikko (40) working in theater industry and Essi (36) in strategic content business. 10-year-old daughter and 3-year old boy! We love to hang out, walk in forests with our dog, have movie nights or bake together, nothing extra.
For travels our dream destinations have a functioning family accomodation to hang out and enjoy the stay, in the summer time to eat outdoors and possibly to swim nearby. That makes us satisfied, activities and sightseeing comes second. We have been travelling a lot in Italy, Croatia and Scandinavian cities as a family: we are up for new adventures but southern Europe is always great. The Alps and or anything with nature are intriguing!
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure.
