Hospitality
Hospitality Description: This is our residential home and we are largely dependent on the dates of Spanish school holidays for exchanging. We prefer minimum 1 week for stays in our home.
Certain periods we already booked accommodation (like 2 weeks in June July 2025) so it will be non simultaneous or non reciprocal, but further we open to all kinds of exchange requests.
Hospitality: we have an inhouse studio (own entrance) with kitchenette and own bathroom, where 1-2 guests are welcome to stay for 2-5 days.

Neighbourhood
We live in El Vedat de Torrent, a beautiful old residential area with lots of chalets and large plots.
El Vedat is known for its pine trees. Our suburb is situated at the edge of the ‘campo’ (countryside), where you can smell the blossom of citrus trees in spring
We are just 8 minutes from the hustle and bustle of the Torrent city centre, (a city of 80.000 inhab) where you can find everything you need.
By car its 20 mins to Valencia city, Spains third largest city, a city on the beach:
The famous 'city of Arts and Sciences' by architect Calatrava might be the highlight of your visit there.
You can also go cycling through the Turia park,
eat Paella for lunch,
visit the CAHH art museum,
visit the the Oceanographic Aquarium,
go shopping in Calle Colon/ el Saler centro comercial or Aqua shopping centre.
There are movie theatres with movies in spanish or English.
Or just relax at one of the many beaches along the loooong coastline.
Another trip would be to do a wine tasting in the vineyards surrounding Utiel/Requena
Or a tour to a citrus farm to discover everything about oranges and lemons and their history in this area.
Or visit /ride a bicycle in the rice fields around the lake Albufera, take a boatride across the lake and eat paella in el Palmar.
And, dont forget Fallas, the biggest festival of Valencia from 15-19 March.
Nearest airport
Valencia airport is at a 20 minutes drive from our home. There is no direct metro from the airport to our house.
You can easily get to our home from the airport by car or taxi (30Eur).
Getting around
We can talk about using our car as part of the exchange (either reciprocal or non reciprocal)
Torrent has 2 metro stations, line 1,2,7 go to Valencia or to the beach.
The metro stations are at a 30 mins walk from our house.
We normally drive to the metro station, park the car there and then take the metro into Valencia city.
Or drive directly into VLC city.
