General Overview

Arrive at Keflavík Airport and enjoy a 35-minute drive to our cozy home, which offers beautiful views of the mountains and sea, located in the town of Hafnarfjörður. We absolutely love this town—it has a few lovely lakes within a 10-15 minute drive. In December, there's a small Christmas market just 5 minutes away by car, as well as the charming downtown area near the harbor. There are two local swimming pools only 5-minute drive away. The famous Blue Lagoon is a 35-minute drive, and Sky Lagoon is just 20 minutes away, you can also find some geothermal puddles about 30 minutes drive away.

The Space

We’ve just moved into this beautiful dream home with an incredible view. We share the building with our upstairs neighbors, and we live on the ground floor. The house has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a kitchen, and a living room. There's also storage space in the house that will eventually be converted into a 3rd bedroom. We’ve turned the largest bedroom into a shared kids' room, while we took the smaller one. The laundry and dryer are located in the bathroom. The view is absolutely breathtaking, and we just can't get enough of it. If you love golf, this is the perfect home for you—it’s only a 2-minute walk to Keilir Golf. The house has been newly renovated, with the floors, kitchen, and bedrooms all beautifully done by my wonderful husband, Hafþór. There’s a French door leading out to the garden and BBQ area.

The house is on the ground floor , it might suitable for wheelchair. Noted the bathroom is very small for wheelchair access.

Notes

We have aquarium fish that might need help to feed them every few days if you stay longer that 4 days. Please respect our neighbours, so parties will be not allowed.

Neighbourhood

It’s a very quiet neighborhood and family-friendly. Our apartment is located at the end of the street, you'll often see people walking by with their pets, which is so lovely. The street is also close to a golf course (Keilir) with a nice driving range.

Driving 35 mins from Keflavík airport and 25mins from Reykjavík airport.

Getting Around

It’s just a 20-minute drive to downtown Reykjavik. A bus stop is only a 2-minute walk (500 meters) The nearest shop (Bonus) is within an 11-minute walk, there you can also find a Thai resturant and a bakery. The Apartment is very close to a Golf course and a driving range within a 2 min walk. Local swimming pools are also nearby: "Asvallalaug" is a 15-minute walk, "Sudurbaejarlaug" is a 25-minute walk, or just 5 minutes by car to either one, we reccommend visiting both of them. The charming downtown Hafnarfjordur is a 30-minute walk or a 5-minute drive away, there you can find bakeries, resturants and some other shops.
