General Overview

Pretty restored country house in the middle of nature, animals and the forest! You feel good there as soon as you arrive there. Relaxation, barbecue, evening with friends or family, starry night! A true haven of peace. Next to all the highest tourist attractions in the Lot and the Dordogne…. Lots of things to visit in the region: - on the Lot side: Rocamadour, the Padirac chasm, the monkey forest, the eagle rock, the Lacave caves, Gramat animal park, the prehistoric parks, St Cyr Lapland, the farms with their local products (cheeses goat cheese, foie gras, duck breast….)… - on the Dordogne side: Sarlat and its magnificent Saturday market, La Roque Gageac and Beynac (elected as one of the most beautiful villages in France), the citadel of Domme (overlooks the Dordogne valley), the castles (Castelnaud , Les Milandes, Montfort, Beynac…), Les Eyzies, the Lascaux caves, the village of Bournat and many others to visit in the region!!! Without forgetting activities such as cycling, hot air balloon flights, canoeing and kayaking which is the region's flagship activity with this magnificent descent on the Dordogne, crossing pretty villages and castles, tree climbing, swimming in the river or in the lakes… As for gastronomy, it’s one of the regions in France where we eat the best!!! Foie gras, duck breast, Sarladaise potatoes, cold meats, cheeses and all the local producers who will be happy to let you taste their homemade products! There are also many small food markets around the house. Unfortunately, I fear that you will not be able to see and do everything during your stay and that you will inevitably fall in love with the region! LOL. Welcome to our house !!!!!

The Space

Pretty country house, restored a few years ago! We often go there for vacation with our children and friends. It has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, an open kitchen, a living room, a billiard table, a large covered terrace and 3 hectares of fields and forests around!

Notes

You are in the middle of a quiet and peaceful nature but you will not be the only ones to appreciate the place because wild animals will certainly come to visit you in the early morning or at nightfall: deer, hares, foxes…. And of course the song of the birds which comes to wake you up in the morning and chat with you throughout the day 😁.

Neighbourhood

Shops and restaurants are less than 20 minutes from the house, lakes for swimming and a very beautiful cave (Cougnac) that I invite you to visit!

Getting to my home

We are located 7 km from Gourdon ((46) and 15 km from Sarlat (24). We have a station in Gourdon, a small airport in Brive which has flights to Paris. A car is essential to visit the region as there is no bus service.

Nearest airport

The closest airport is Brive, followed by Toulouse or Bordeaux
