General overview

We live on 12 acres of peaceful, beautiful forested area. There is a potential for wildlife viewing such as deer, elk, and wild turkeys. There is plenty of hiking areas around. Our home is just two miles from a reservoir, with opportunity for fishing, swimming, paddle boarding or kayaking. In the winter months we enjoy sledding/tubing down the hill and soaking in the hot tub. We live 45 minutes by car from Boise, Idaho.

The space

Our cabin has three bedrooms and two bathrooms (1 full and 1 half bath). We offer two bedrooms to guests. These bedrooms can sleep up to eight people (2 queens, 1 full, and 2 twin beds). We have a dining room that seats up to eight. There is a TV room with Roku and a stereo. The kitchen is stocked with many small appliances such as Espresso machine, toaster, blender, mixer, and Instant Pot. There is a microwave and dishwasher.

Guest access

The house is two-story and guests' bedrooms are on the second floor. All of the house is open for use with the exception of the locked Master bedroom and a locked pantry. The guests have access to all of the property.

Notes

We are just 45 minutes by car to Boise. There is no public transportation here. We are 30 minutes from Idaho City. There are several hiking areas and both developed and undeveloped hot springs nearby. We are hot springs enthusiasts and have visited over 30 in Idaho. Just ask us for info if you are interested. Here are some details and information about these cities: Idaho City is a small mountain town that has an Old West feel. There are unique shops and restaurants to visit. https://idahocitychamber.info/ Things to do in and around Boise: https://www.visitsouthwestidaho.org/city/Boise https://visitboise.com/events/ Boise Events: Tree Fort music fest - March: https://treefortmusicfest.com/ Summer concert series - All Summer https://downtownboise.org/events/alive-after-five https://www.facebook.com/JumpJamJiveConcerts Boise Hot Air Balloon Festival - August https://spiritofboise.com/ Hyde Park Street Faire - September https://www.northendboise.org/hyde-park-street-fair Flipside Music Fest - September: https://theduckclub.com/flipside-fest/ Art in the park - September https://boiseartmuseum.org/art-in-the-park/
