Neighbourhood

The location is just a short walk to Old Town (1,3 km), shopping centers such as Eurovea (300 m) or Nivy (800 m) where also the bus station is located, restaurants, and grocery stores are located in the same building where the apartment is. The Slovak National Theatre is just few steps away. Exploring the area is a delight, especially with the Danube river nearby and numerous dining options to choose from.

Getting to my home

The apartment is easily accesible to get to the bus station (800m). Bratislava airport is approximately 10 minutes driving and Vienna airport about 40 minutes driving. There is also a very good connection of buses in order to get to those airports as well as a good connection to the railway station. In Bratislava there is also a transfer company such as Bolt that is very reliable and cheap to move around the city.

Nearest airport

There is one airport in Bratislava that is 10 minutes away by car and another one that is bigger is situated in Vienna and is approximately 40 minutes driving.

Dominika

We are family of five, Dominika and Miroslav and our three boys, Elias (7), Jonas (5) and Joachim (3). We love traveling and we are open to any destinations. We are active family. We love all kind of outdoor activities like hiking and camping with our caravan, my son Elias loves fishing and in general we love all kinds of sports mostly biking, running, swimming, skiing and ski mountaineering in winter. We like to spend time in nature. As for home exchange experience, I am new on PLU however in the past I have hosted many travelers via couchsurfing and I have also surfed many couches all around the world and it was a great experience. Last year our family hosted a student from Italy for several months. I also have been active on airbnb platform as a host and as a guest too. I am really excited to start new home exchanges with the PLU community.

"We are quite flexible but prefer in September or October 2024. We would love to discover National parks (Yellowstone or Zion) as well as Oregon but we are open to other destinations too. I would love a place where homeschooling groups are active."
