General overview
I've done a ton of work and improvements to the house and property over the past 10 years. It's a great place to relax..spacious and quiet with covered porches/decks.
The space
I have 3 bedrooms (2 full baths) with a renovated master bath and kitchen. Fast wireless internet. TV's in each room. Office area for remote work. Plenty of offstreet parking.
Guest access
A few steps lead to the back deck where you will likely enter.
Notes
Atlanta and the State of Georgia has sooo much to see and do! There are activities for every interest and taste. Here are just a few things that attract people here!
Cultural Spaces (museums, national monuments). Atlanta is the birthplace and center of the American Civil Rights movement. Dr. Martin Luther King lived and preached here. There is a Center devoted to his legacy right down town. Also a new museum of Civil rights just opened recently. We also have the High Museum, the Atlanta History Center, and others. Gone with the Wind's author lived here and her house is open in midtown.
Sports fans will find a lot to do here, with professional baseball, basketball and soccer teams all calling Atlanta home. Not to mention two top colleges including the National Champion Georgia Bulldogs! My house is also a 20 minute WALK from the annual PGA Golf Championship at the East Lake Course!
Other activities downtown include the World of Coca Cola, celebrating the long term home of this iconic brand, as well as the Georgia Aquarium, the LARGEST in the Western Hemisphere. There is also Centennial Olympic Park and a Ferris Wheel downtown, within a 15 minute drive of the house.
Participatory sports are easy to find here. The famous Atlanta Beltline can be accessed via a 10 minute drive. The Beltline is a 22 mile walking/blking/running trail all around the city. After more than 10 years in construction it is almost finished! The Beltline has 100's of shops, restaurants, breweries and more! A walk to the Ponce City Market (very similiar to the Chelsea Market in NYC and developed by the same firm) is a fun way to spend the afternoon. A little further up the Beltline you reach Piedmont Park (designed by the same team that did Central Park in NYC), which is a great place to stroll, run, or bike.
Atlanta has amazing shopping with Malls and boutiques all around the metro. Six flags amusement park is busy most of the year..your kids will love it!
If you ever run out of things to do in the city, or just want to see rural Georgia, there are mountains 2 hours north by car. Lots of beautiful historic towns in the state as well as in Western North Carolina which is also within a day trip. Further afield you have beaches in Florida and South Carolina!
