Neighbourhood
Olivais (Olive Groves) is called the greenest area in Lisbon. Full of locals (cheaper food prices as in town center), but very loved by expat families too.
I honestly wouldnt want to live anywhere else :)
Getting to my home
Can get an Uber / Bolt, a 5-minute ride from the airport.
Perfect for those arriving late or leaving early.
Can take Uber + train for Cascais, or Carcavelos beach (1 hour total).
Need a car to get to Costa Caparica beaches (or Uber, around 25 eur one way).
Nearest airport
The closest airport (Lisbon) is only a 5-minute drive away. But cant hear a single plane as it's not under their route line.
Getting Around
- 30 min by metro to everywhere central (or short ~8 eur Uber ride).
- 10 min by bus / 20 min walk to the big Oriente train station (for the trains to Sintra, Porto, or Algarve).

I´m Lithuanian + he is Portuguese (Tinder date gone lucky) + our 5-year-old boy (and 11-year-old daughter-in-law if she has school holidays at that time:).
We dont have much flexibility, but we are able to take time off around 3 times a year for the exchange :)
