I live in a 2 bed townhouse/mews in the Georgian district of Limerick City, its central, while being private, quiet, safe. There are many amenities all around my house from shops, cars, bars and restaurants to hospitals,
doctors, galleries and museums ..The train and bus station is a five minute walk and leads to Dublin, Galway, Cork and Clare . The Peoples Park with its newly refuebished playground is across the street, alongside Limerick City Gallery of Art, and a nice cafe overlooking the park . The house is centrally located and there are many cafes, restaurants, bars and hotels close by. There are plenty of things to do festivals, music venues, theatres and cinemas close by. Limerick City is a great place to have either a city break, or to use as a base to explore the west and south of Ireland. Limerick City is vibrant, pretty and each year hosts a wonderful St Patrick's Day Parade with brass bands from all over the world, a Jazz festival in September, LGBTQIA+ Pride weekend in July and the Riverfest in June, with many other celebrations throughout the year which reflect the diversity of cultures which make it a small and versatile city which is easy to get around on foot.
The space
My house has two entrances, the entrance opposite the park leads to a picturesque courtyard with seating and somewhere quiet to have morning coffee. The house was built in 1820, the courtyard leads you to steps and a French door into a small but spacious living room. which has a dining table and seats 4/6 people, a cosy L shaped sofa, which also makes a comfortable bed, a cosy electric fire and a 55 inch TV where you can access Netflix, Sky glass. The living room leads to a galley kitchen with oven, cooker washer/ dryer, kettle, toaster and all other utensils needed to cook at home. There are 2 small bedrooms upstairs one with a triple bunkbed and one with a double bed, There's a small toilet and showerroom with a nice size shower and double headed shower head and seat to sit on while showering. This is a very unique comfortable home in a busy city with beautiful architecture, castles and a rich and interesting history. I have two beautiful cats, Silver and Armeous, they are gentle and absolutely no trouble at all and both have friendly but unobtrusive personalities. If you are a cat person they will need to be fed and watered if you are not a cat person, I can arrange for them to be taken care of elsewhere for the duration of your stay, but I think they are a fitting addition to the airy, bright and elegant space of the house.
Guest access
Whole house - two entrances. Ground and first floor. I am sorry to say the house is not wheelchair accessible, the toilet is upstairs, the age, protection and size of the house doesn't allow for the architectural adjustments needed to change this.

Neighbourhood
Park art gallery and cafe across the street. St John's Castle just a few minutes walk, the Hunt Museum and Limerick Gallery of Art and the Peoples Museum are close by. The river running through the city with beautiful bridges and walks is a three minute walk from the house. The train station, restaurants, cafes and shopping - are all on the doorstep. Limerick is a really pretty city in the Midwest of Ireland which has easy access to many of the main cities of the whole country. It is a university city with plenty of concerts and music venues and the famous Thomond Park Rugby Stadium.
